how much would you pay for a fenix tk70 in very good condition?

hello all,

I been contemplating selling off my fenix tk70 the last few days. I would like to get a general idea on how much I can get for the light to see if its even worth selling.

so how much would you guys pay for this light shipped nowadays?

I may still have the box, the light has never been brought outside other than my backyard. never tampered with, never opened up the bezel or did anything to the light. very good condition other than the white fenix letters are slightly faded now, but the tk70 letters are still very white.

thanks!

There is currently one on CPFM for a couple weeks with 4 Tenergy blue 10000mah batteries for $150. I’m really surprised it has not been sold yet.

And to me honestly, that’s too cheap. Its a very high quality light.

I don’t know if that helps you at all, but it’s some perspective of the market.

The Fenix TK70 sales have seen their better days just like the Olight SR90. The TN31 has put a damper on the sales of these lights as well as the TK75 putting a bigger damper on the TK70 sales. Why buy a heavy 3lb TK70 that takes the huge D batteries that weighs 3lbs with 4 of them when you can buy a TK75 that weighs 25oz with 4 18650 batteries. I still find it funny that guys on ebay are paying up to $250 for a brand new SR90 when you can buy a TN31 XM-L2 U2 and probably out throw it or be so dang close you won’t notice the difference between the 2 for around $160.

But to answer your question around $120.

I’ll give you thirty quid and a bottle of brown sauce, does it come with batteries? and should I pm you my address?

That seems a bit mean, you could have least offered heinz tomiato

If it is in good condition. It will sell for more than$120… While many in here have no time for alkaline batteries. Many of society at large feel much safer with them. I have bought two used ( Like new ) It may not be cutting edge technology. But it is a beast of a light that your average Joe the plumber will buy. My father in law had me hunt him down one & paid $160 (used) without blinking. The fact that it can use non lithium ion batteries is a big selling point to non flashaholics.

I could, but they can get heinz tomato over there, daddies brown sauce however……

SR90 come with 6*18650 and charger. She has more material either like larger lens, reflector, premium bin SST90, more aluminium, etc.
So for $90 differences, I will actually buy SR90.

Perhaps the best question: which one isnt glued from the factory so you can take it apart and upgrade the emitter? Just say no to glued flashlights!

Yeah. Me too. SR90
For TK70. $120 also.

Not me. I would buy the TN31 XM-L2 U2. Selfbuilt compared the SR90 to the TN31 XM-L U2 and the SR90 did beat it. But it wasn’t by a lot. If you polish the battery holder contacts up, the TN31 is even brighter yet. And he didn’t do that in his comparison. So a TN31 XM-L2 U2 according to Joe on here who sells them said it’s quite a bit brighter than the first version. He also said it throws better as well. So I wouldn’t doubt one bit if the TN31 XM-L2 would out throw the SR90. The SR90 weighs like 3lbs and 6oz, too. That’s a big difference in weight vs the TN31 XM-L. And no throw advantage so why have it.

There was a guy that had a TK70 like new in box and a $35 Tenergy charger with 4 D white Tenergy batteries which are a heck of a lot better than the blue Tenergys that lose about 2% of their charge daily, and they were around $30. He started at I think $190 shipped and he finally after days came down to $160 shipped and someone finally bought it. Do the math.

The quicker you want the money… The less you’ll take. One guy hurting for money is not the norm, its the exception. I got my TK70 for $150 ( used ) I bought 8 of the white 10,000 mah tenergy with charger. $70ish… Now way in hell this outfit would go for under $200

If you got that one for $150 shipped, you done real well. It looks like a new one. I’m guessing it was. I paid $172.50 shipped for mine from Shane who sells on ebay as well. I love my TK70. Mine arrived in 3 days exactly.Congrats!

This was a public post on my TK70 thread. I am not posting any PMs between Brad & I.

i'd say toss it up on ebay or try it here and cpf once just to see ..

Ebay will probably be the truest test of what it's really worth .. Cpf may pay the most for it but .. you never know .

Not just throw I am looking at. If really look at throw alone, SR90 throw with 1750lumens. That output is more useful to me. You are right SR90 is heavier but that is why it is more expensive with more material in it.

sounds like i have a general idea now. a bit lower than i was expecting. i wonder how come the tk70 lost so much value. i know there are new lights out there thats smaller and can compete with it. but that goes for about any other light as well.
the tk70 lost about 45% of what its worth.

doesnt seem like any other light loses 45% of its value. im thinking of just random lights out there that old or new, small or big, i just dont see them out for sale for 45% less. so how come the tk70?

ya i can do the ebay thing or cpf, but since this thread, ive gotten a few pms of interest so if its going up for sale (which is looking like a yes at the moment), i rather sell it to a member here, even if its for less money.

Ok I was a little off. It was $185 for 4 D blue Tenergy and the Tenergy charger. And it was like 3 or 4 days. But that is still $65 worth of accessories. And it was like new.

I don’t think your gonna see too many folks pay $170 for a brand new one anymore unless they really want one. Not when all the other lights that are out now that are simply more feasible and lighter and runs on 18650’s.

I don’t think a good, used TK70 is only as much as the new BTU at $120. At least $155 I believe.

A good and used one should be at least $150 to me because it is selling $220 here in my country. But in other countries, it might be lower than $150 if it is cheaper for new one.
