Sorry it does not take 18650’s as advertised.

I’m a junky, I mod lights so I can sell lights so I can buy more light to mod so I can sell lights to buy more lights to mod.

don’t think that uses 18650 batteries, lists it as using D batts here http://www.easylightbuy.com/23led-camping-light-with-compass-no09995led_... and that’s what it looks like it takes as well tbh

Thanks for pointing that out. I am going to be ticked if it doesn’t take 18650’s though. Now why would they list it as taking 18650’s if it doesn’t?

like most Chinese sellers they tend to be quite poor at accurate descriptions at times, always a good idea to compare the pictures to the description and google any model numbers listed to double check info I find.

They do seem to be pretty quick at replying to emails though so I’d drop them a line to see what batts it does take.

Using easylight buy as a referance is probably worse .. they kicked back a purchase of mine because they had  a wrong light listed with a bad description too...I have those morons on my AVOID at all cost list.

Thanks again for the heads up. They e-mailed me back and it doesn’t take 18650’s so they are refunding my payment.

IMO not too hard to rewire – 3 D (4.5V) ~= 1-3P x 18650 (4.2V).

Emailed Maggie 2-3 times and no reply.
Order No: 1303241654 Date: 03/24/2013 for a WallLight and Lantern.
Filed a Paypal dispute.

I ended up ordering a different lantern and converted it to 18650’s but it also went over 30 days so I filed with paypal as well. It showed up a week after that. Keep in mind that I went with the cheapest shipping option. I contacted them and they also never replied. So it was not good service at all but in the end I got it.

It’s an ok lantern but not really good enough for camping other than to light up a small tent and maybe read by.

Thanks! That was also my plan. Just to convert it to 18650. Hopefully they ship and reply to my email.
