can any charger do 14500 and 26650 cells proficiently?

I would like to start using Li batteries but would like to use 14500 and 26650 (and probably 18650 as well). Which charger do I need?

The Xtar SP2 is a very good charger.

Yup, SP2. Use 0.5A setting for 14500’s, 1A setting for 18650’s, and 2A setting for 26650’s.
You can, of course, use lower settings than I recommend, but then charging time will be very long.

Thanks. Are the SP2 on ebay from China going to be genuine?

4sevens has single bay charger that has 0.5A/1A setting. It also has 3.6V/4.2V switch, extra option for also charging LiFePO4s chemistry.

You could also go with an intellicharger.

I have been happy with the 4sevens charger. I use it for 14500, 18650, 26650. Both li-ion and LiFePO4.
