Surefire U2 XP-G2

I recently modded this U2 with an XP-G2 emitter, 3D tint(5000k). The results versus the original P4 Seoul are so much better. To me the stock LED is weak and has a very cool blue tint.

Enough rambling and on with the pictures.
Start with a pic to compress the “C” clip

Coke can used to compress the clip all the way around. Then just pull off the clip.

Removed the control ring in preparation for heating.

Head separated.

Stock LED removed, and cleaned for new emitter.

XP-G2 installed.

Light re-assembled

You know if cpf gets wind of this, you’ll be a hunted man Shocked , I’m tempted to get a surefire to mod, jjust to bask in the kudos of upsetting cpf so much

This U2 came from Canada and is on the way back to it’s owner. I posted it on CPF. Smile

That is where the person contacted me for this mod.

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, the red thread lock in the SF lights make it a nerve-racking proposition. Smile
