Sanyo 18650 unprotected 2600mah (light blue button tops) BOGUS DO NOT ORDER!! Sorry for wasting everyone's time.

Ok so this guy now says they are ultrafire. I don’t know because of the language problems. I sent him an e-mail and will update this and let everyone know.

I’m sure these are pulls and will be hit and miss. However, for this price I gave them a shot. I have enough flashlights now that take single 18650’s, plus a multi-meter to check them with so I figured why not.

I suppose that as long as they are checked out and matching they would also be ok for multi-cell flashlight. I will be using them only in single cell lights that have protected drivers though just to be extra safe. Plus of course I will check them before and after charging. I’m sure they would be fine in flashlights like the Sky Ray Kings as well.

No paypal but credit cards are just as easy to do a charge back on and the protection is longer than 45 days. Plus with aliexpress the money goes into an escrow and isn’t paid to the seller until you take delivery and approve of the sale.

Hope this helps someone out.

R the ones in the link the ones you mean only they r red.Cheap price .

Yep they are red with light blue rings on the tops. I have seen the light blue rings on many of the unprotected Sanyo’s that are high quality. They are used in battery packs and laptops things like that.

Buying these is still a risk though. It’s hard to tell if they have been used or how old they are. The only thing for sure is that they were high quality cells to start with. Unlike most of the ….fire batteries what could be anything under the wrappers.

There’s some descent photos of the sides of these cells. Can anyone see the date codes and tell us their age?

Thanks for that i was looking for blue wrappers lol

Do you check that in Fasttech are cheap???

Sanyo UR18650ZT 18650 3.7V 2800mAh Rechargeable Lithium Batteries (2-Pack)

http://www.fasttech.com/products/1143803-2013

Or, for that price I will go with this

Panasonic NCR18650B Rechargeable 3400mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries authentic cells / 2-pack

http://www.fasttech.com/products/1141100-2013

They are presumably these cells $5.29 each: http://www.fasttech.com/products/1420/10001901/1136603

Versus $1.76 each at aliexpress

I got 18 of these by pulling apart 2 laptop battery packs. 14 usable out of the bunch.

Nice find. They sure look new in the ad. I see no signs of tab spot welds, etc. Do the ones you received look just as good?

Excuse me sir, I miss this part…

10 pieces / lot , $1.76 / piece

Ok, you beat me… What about this???

I just ordered so I will be able to tell you in about 4 weeks. Right now I’m just hoping for the best. But they do look good and all the signs point to quality cells.

I ordered some cells from another aliexpress seller and wish I had bought more. They were long gone by the time mine showed up to get tested. I figured I would share the sale before it gets changed. Even from aliexpress this is by far the cheapest I have seen them.

For that price, I'll take the risk. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks, I ordered the $8 one, never scrounged batteries before, so this will be my first dumpster dive…

I ordered 2… good enough for gifts :wink:

I have looking long time for this batts and never buy one… hahahha

I cant comment on the laptop cells.

Looking at the pics in the link under product details, 1st pic, 3rd battery to the right: the date code appears to be O37C… at least to my eyes. So these appear to be 37st week of 2010, which would be 1st week in October, 2010. If Im right about the code and the dates in the pics are representative of the actual items being sold, and the cells have been stored in a cool dry place without moisture, these should still be good.

From this example:
L37A is their production date code.
K=2006
L=2007
M=2008
N=2009
O=2010
P=2011
37=produced in the 37th week

Also, check this thread for more date info: Help me identify these 18650 cells for more info on ID.

I just purchased 40.

Thanks for sharing. I ordered a lot also.

Thanks for the info. On the dates. Like you said it’s still no guarantee but it sounds pretty good.

Love these Sanyos even more so than the Panasonics! I have my fingers crossed for all of us.

I pulled the trigger and received this message an hour later:

friend i am Solemnly declare this battery is UltraFire battery

I think I'm going to cancel.
