THANKS FOR LEADING ME TO THE SC 52!!!!

HELLO,

I have been reading this forum since around Christmas and have never posted until now. I knew absolutely nothing about how far led technology had gone in flashlights until i saw a friends cheap ebay zoomy a few months ago. At that point it was the brightest thing i had ever seen. Purpleish tint but bright! So i started doing research and quickly ran into this forum and have been spending money ever since :_( . I bought a trustfire mini, a Ti, a convoy S2 and S3, a few pieces of junk then forked out the cash for a zebralight H600w. Wow, that was truly impressive. I use it every day doing electronic work and walking the dog. Cant wait to try bike riding with it. So anyway back to title, i was trying to figure out the ultimate EDC light that would be super bright and yet super lite as i wear lite shorts most of the year with the hot climate here. I realy love side button lights and the idea of full current control in all modes with the 14500, so i went with the SC52 aa. I got it Saturday, and still just can’t believe how freakin cool it is!!! Its such a hot rot rod yet so refined. I almost went for the eagletac d25lc2 but the side button and user interface won me over. Its so small!!!

Anyway thank you guys for all the excellent information and testing you do, sure makes for good reading and showed me a whole new world of lighting.

Glad you like it. The minute the NW version comes out I’ll push the button.

The SC52 is an awesome light. Mine follows me everwhere
Also welcome to BLF!!!

Yeah thats the only thing i would change, i wish it was the tint of my h600w. But i couldn’t wait!!!

Where did you buy yours and how much?

From illuminationgear.com. The usual 64 dollars .I didnt see that illumination supply 15% percent off sale until after i ordered it. Ordered Thursday afternoon and had Saturday morning with free shipping!!

Whooa! Must be really good!
But so many options for $64.
Thanks kg4.

It’s amazing how something so small, and green (color, that is) can put out so much light, huh :)??

Jim

I love the SC52.

500 lumens for one minute with a 14500. UI lets you directly enter High, medium, or low from off. Once in high, medium, or low, simply double click to get a seconday high, medium, or low. You don’t lose any modes with a 14500. Click four times from off to get flashes showing your battery level. If the primary or secondary levels are not enough you can program a different secondary level. There are several low modes, and the lowest low is 0.01 lumens. No one has ever said they wished it went lower.

I edc one, and love it. It is hard to beat the UI, run time, and brightness. One click for high, two for medium, three for low. Or press and hold to immediately get medium. Press and continue to hold from off or on, and it will cycle from low to medium to high.
