Need good throw for daytime illumination of small holes

I'm looking for the a bright, fairly narrow beam, neutral if possible, to light up shadowed nooks and crannies in otherwise normal daylight. A beam approximately 2-6" at 3-10 feet, bright enough to help my light adjusted eyes see into the shadows. An XML recoil thrower would be nice I prefer a single 18650 model.

Anyone know of a light that might meet the need?

Thanks!

You won't find a recoil thrower with an XM-L probably. If it's made expect it to be severely underdriven to cope with the thermal disadvantages of that setup.

Perhaps you can go with a zoom to throw flashlight and swap the emitter (to a neutral one) and driver perhaps. Romisen RC-C8 might be the one you would easily like.

Alternatively get a MRV clone (best price on manafont) and swap the emitter to a lets say neutral white R4 avaliable at kd for decent price. Should fit rightaway no need to grind it. PErhaps a more powerfull driver woudl be required as those can handle 1.5A current and the host is thermally well placed.

No other ideas come to mind at least going the cheap route.

You could get a Ultrafire 504B with XR-E R2. It has a pretty tight beam. Cool white though. Get a smooth reflector for it and it really throws. Better than my XP-G or XM-L's in the same light, even though it has less overall output. Comparison:

My UniqueFire HS-802 with XR-E R2 has a hotspot of about 10cm at 3m.

Bright enough to let me easily make out a light-painted house at 450m in good atmospheric conditions.
