Up for sale is this Highly Modded 4AA Maglite. It takes 4 NiMH batteries and has an XM-L T6 LED in it powered by an 8x7135 diver. It has a 15 Degree TIR optic and it is a twist on/off. Twist the head for on/off and mode changes. Modes are H/M/L/Strobe/SOS.
This is a highly modified light. It is home made. It is not as nice as a factory light, but it is unique and one of a kind. It is more difficult to operate than a factory light. It is hard to get the tail caps off because they are so close to each other and there's not much to grab on to. There is a contact plate that spans 2 of the tubes and it goes behind the batteries. It takes a couple minutes and some care & patience to load and remove batteries. It's also a painted light. Paint is not as durable as Ano. It can chip and come off. This in more of a shelf Queen kind of light. A One Off for a collection. Just FYI... That said, it is the only one I will make like this, so it is a one of a kind light.
