All my mtb lights have used tir lenses, so I might have to build another!

Looks like it will be fun to experiment with, with high driven xp-g2’s….Any idea what lights this may fit?
These could be great in Mag mods with a little tweaking. I bet the Crystal TIR could be seated in the stock incandescent reflector trimmed to fit.
That would be tasty in a magmod! I wonder how soon until it is released. An XM-L version would be nice too. ;)
holy cow that’s a big TIR! I’d love to see beamshots with this, even though I can’t think of a light I’d ever put it in

It seems that they (will) make two versions; the Miner and RS. Both will work with many leds, including the xml.
Curiosity means that I will have to try and buy a couple, if only for experiments….
Hmm, 46.8mm in diameter and 27.4mm deep and a 5mm divergent angle using an XP-G2. Sweet! I need to get one or two of these. Looks like the mine version has less spill and slightly less efficiency. I’m wondering if the lux in the hotspot will remain the same but the lower efficiency means that they’ve cut down on the spill? Would make a good lens for a bike light to reduce blinding oncoming traffic.
We just need to find a supplier……might have to ask Ledil for a sample (or two)

but wasn’t quite sure what you do with these?
Do you use them to replace the reflector in a light? And, if so, can you do that for a P60 and/or C8?
Some examples using the ones from FastTech would be appreciated (e.g., use this one to replace the reflector in a C8).

I bought the Osram Golden Dragon to have a play with, but haven’t had time to build the light to test it with yet. Should be soon hopefully.
Not too sure about the Gaggione one - I played with a couple of the smaller ones they offer and they were pants, although that doesn’t necessarily apply to this one.

doh, I wasn’t very clear (smacks head) - I meant to say that I got the Osram optic from FT that was on the page Ohaya linked to. I’ll post that up as soon as I have a play with it, but no Crystal yet. I’m not even sure where to get one from. Future Electronics has them up, but out of stock and a minimum order of 180
I used that Gaggione 45mm optic in a dive light. It’s a very nice result. Here you can see a comparison with a 50mm fresnel lens (top left) and the gaggione LLC49R (bottom right)

Both are XMLs, but the blueish one came from DX, the other from LED-tech.de
image is underexposed so you don’t see the spill light of the gaggione

Looks like cutter has them now. I got an email from them recently announcing it. Cutter link They only list it for the XP’s.
