TrustFire tr-j12 problem.

I bought a TrustFire Tr-J12 on Manafont.com Friday 17 August, 2012 …. so far so good.

Now appeared a problem, the light is stuck on maximum power, no sos or strobe, medium or low light.

Someone can help me in resolving this issue, and what i need to buy to solve this stress, i need this flashlight to work!

Thanks!!

Probably the driver is toasted / shorted and works as direct drive.

You may want to buy a new good driver, for example this one from KD (5-mode, no blinky modes, high PWM)

Yes, KD is reliable.

Changing the driver to TR-J12 should be quite straightforward. Some people say that they needed to sand the new driver a bit for it to fit, but others say it's direct fit. YMMV, I guess.. Wink

Strange thing happened yesterday, after having the flashlight two minutes with the maximum power…. suddenly she did a reset and I got the light at minimum and started to work right again Shocked , everything works fine now.

Well I think I will buy the bord, just for safety.

Thanks for all the help! Beer
