what is the best method to impress your friends with your flashlights? and what method do you do?

curious to know what would be the best way to show off your bright lights. Indoors or outdoors, start on low or turbo, etc…

this is what i do with my high lumen lights: i find a room with a nice big white wall with minimal objects (paintings, furniture, home decor),
stand about 12 feet , turn off all lights. and talk to them for a few seconds…the longer the better, so their eyes get adjusted to total darkness. then blast it on turbo .

i still need to figure out if its better to start on low then move my way up. but starting at turbo has been very good to me this far haha.

for my throwers: if i can be higher than the ground, say on a patio or a deck from a house or on a roof of building….the better.
but basically i usually know already how far my light will throw, so i just ask the person, you think a flashlight can shine that far? almost every single person will say no, unless its one of those 1-2 million candle power search lights or something.
then ill say no, something thats only 6 inches long (referring to a c8) those usually says a lot since they are so small. basically i turn it on and hit that object and theyre in shock and ask to get them one.
then i bust out the big guns, and i do the same but with further distances.

so what do you guys do, and what do you think is best to do the impressing. do you think i should shine the high lumen beast outdoors or continue indoors?

I take out my Defiant 3xD cell light, bludgeon them over the head with it, and steal their wallet… It certainly makes an impression… J)

I first have them fetch their own flashlight from the car, and then I take them for a short walk in the woods, then I turn on my massive light, and show them what is really out there!

I just hand them a decent light and act like I never expected them to be impressed . If they are ....good ... if not , we talk about something else .

Have your wife shine them around in her Bikiini… Always works for me.

just fire one of them up! none of my friends have ever seen anything better than a Mag Led…

I agree with the last post from Chidwack2. If the lights themselves aren’t good enough to impress them, then not much to do about that.

Skyray King. During a night-time blizzard. While wearing my monk robe / wizard cloak, with the SRK concealed in my sleeve. I go outside, make some dramatic motions with my hands while shouting “Cone of Cold!”, then turn on the Skyray King.

It helps if they’ve played D&D or a similar game at least once.

I use an old Union Carbide 2D or a Mag 2D Xenon, while they use a Mag 2D XM-L.

I simply can not fathom how anyone could be offended by your avatar Dale. Apparently some people haven’t ever been to a beach. Personally, I love the American Flag bikini :slight_smile:
