FF4 4 those interested the latest I have heard

The time on turbo has increased to 3 mins (from 1 min) (Poss 200000Lux???)

For the battery shine says blue head Sanyo is his pref

Colour temperature of 4300K

6000 + lumens

Waterproof grade IPX7, IP67

Also heard that delivery has changed from ‘going to plan’ to ‘“hoping” the FF4 will
be ready in May , but still not sure yet’ (non attributable comment made to me, How true???)

Apparently lot of work has happened to get the heat issues at turbo mode under control.

Why there is no real picture of FF4? Marketing tricks? Was it like this when Firefox released new product?

Any word on how the size will compare to the FF3?

I heard that there wasn’t even a full prototype in early April… probably using a modded FF3
I don’t think they anticipated the reaction to the FF4 and am not sure marketing is their strong point.
Hence no pics, and why IMO I’m not convinced the sole supplier agreement will be a benefit to them in the long run. Can not believe that the Cn vendors like being told they cannot sell to the US which I assume is their biggest non domestic market.

Been a little disappointed with communications with them I’m afraid, Ho Hum! :_(

Length is 6mm longer

I have seen two sizes mentioned for head diameter 75mm or 79mm prob 75mm up from 70mm

Body diam… same

There are no details whether the handle is included or an extra.

Well, Bill has posted in his website that the FF4s will be is stock on May 8, Wednesday, as the factory promised. On that day he will be posting pictures of the light/s. As I said previously, maybe FF is doing the product launching like the way Apple launches its Iphone offerings!

I hope he is correct, Lips on the 24th said that no lights existed yet. The revision to the turbo Shine announced a couple of days later. Two dealers I’ve been in contact with yesterday and my contact all say nothing definite (not been in contact with FLT or FT) and ‘hoping’ seems to be a common comment.

I personally would not be surprised at a delay due to the change in the turbo on time. So if the spec was finalised around the 25th they are going to be very busy to get everything together and shipped out first week in May. Even if everything was finalised earlier, and if as lips said no lights existed on the 24th it will still be good going to get FF4s built and delivered in a couple of weeks.

I am afraid I think they are excellent at the lights, poor over marketing and promotion decisions. They seem sensitive about certain things and won’t comment about them.

Thanks for the info, I reckon this will make a nice first HID torch. I love torches with huge size : light output ratio

Well you can try FL-T I would guess she will supply you one, if the FF3 ‘buy’ is anything to go by at a slightly cheaper price (all in) than the official US ones.

But be aware they will be unofficial so there is a small risk. Having said that I have one ordered from her (before all the kerfuffle) as even lips has said that she has a supply of nine, I’m not worried myself even if it goes wrong PP is there!.

I can’t see Cn dealers being constrained for very long, so they may privately do business anyway.

I don’t think so. Mine will be shipped via Singapore EMS which takes at least about a week to arrive. To others via Fedex/UPS, they will have theirs in a little as 3 days perhaps.
