Hi,

I’ve seen that before when browsing shiningbeam.com, but I was wondering (for a noob), what is so good about an XP-G2 light? According to the website, it’s “only” 165 lumens.

Is it just that it’s improved XP-G?

Its cheap, runs on AA and built well. 165 lumens is pretty good for the power source.

Thanks. I’ve been googling XP-G2, and based on that, I guess that light should be a good thrower also?

How would it compare to some other AA/14500 lights (not including the ZL SC52)?

Are these lights easy to mod? I may get one to swap in a neutral 5A2 XP-G2. Failing that I’ll gift it to a non-flashie buddy.

it takes a 14mm led star, otherwise it seems rather upgradeable
