The updated PCB is has been improved to trip above 10A but below 15A. I was also able to confirm the KK cell is the cell HKJ tested despite it being listed as generic made in China so outside of the PCB his review will reflect the expected performance of this battery.

Nice review for a GREAT headlamp!
I find it curious how there’s no mention of the greenish tint on the outside of the flood beem and how he says that the headband is comfortable to wear??

Headband comfort is personally subjective much like tint preference. I wear my 502D for hours at time with no discomfort. I look a silly when a take it off of course with the forehead impression though! This was also meant to be more of an every day use review than a purely technical one.

I’m surely not a light tech, but the green on the edge is very apparent and not related to the led tint in my opinion (just shine a white wall). The headband construction is somewhat silly as it makes pressure on the edge of the silicone rather than the centre, of course this can be easily and quickly solved strapping the band differently, but I’m sure this is all stuff you know better than me.

I absolutely love this lamp and it’s been EDC from day 1, very recommended! :wink:

The wide spread reviews of the green tinted xml 2’s used by Zebralight have me prejudiced against them for the time being.

Lots of ghastly comments about the green at the “other” forum and they ain’t lying

Would be different if one could walk in to a store and try before buy.

Jury is still out on this ZL xml2 buzz.

Almost bought a new sc52w until I read the reviews. And it would have been at no cost considering Amazon had them and I had Cash Back Credits to purchase for FREE.

But, I’ll not take a chance on getting stuck with a GREENER.

I got my SC52 from E2 Field Gear and it has a nice white tint :slight_smile:

I have not had any complaints so far. The tint does vary a bit from light to light but in the 100 or so I have personally tested no green monsters. Considering the volume of sales the light has produced the return rate is very small. That being said tint can be quite objective so you may not be happy with a light someone else thinks is fine.

Great news, these are both really good batteries!! Those 20R’s in a single cell flashlight with no regulation in high mode are like instant turbo! Does the discount code work with these?
