How do you store your EDC lights & gear?

Here is a pic of my little man-gear staging area.

Like to keep my commonly used EDC lights here, on their side to avoid a domino incident. Knives are below in next cubby with my tshirts.

Thinking back… my Dad always had this wooden nick-nack box on his dresser. Almost like a jewelry box, but bigger. Nearly a tackle box made of wood. Kept all his watches, cuff links, knives, money n junk in it. Think I need something more like that, with vertical tiers to better use the space.

What setup do you guys use??

Am I the only one that does this? My wife certainly thinks so, but she doesn’t understand us freaks. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a hand carved bowl on a dresser for knives and general pocket dump .

Flashlights are everywhere .

lol know what you mean. My lights are everywhere too, much to the wifes amusement. These are just my go-to EDCs. One of them should look very familiar to you.

Ah .

I see a lot of money…$_$

big ballin son!

nah not really….

don’t see a BANG BANG

no permit yet. :frowning: working on that…
Sig 45 is under the bed. 357SIG Compact in my ‘go bag’.

i got a shelf for my flashlights by the front door, though theres usually one in my room, bathroom, at least one in one of the cars…
my most carried knives go on the dresser by the tv. a kershaw skyline and a ganzo g707, along with a ps4 and an es4.
on top of the microwave i usually store my work stuff. locker key, security badge, lunch money, spare welding tips. also my lifepo charger, ejuice…
tz-75 is up on top of the fridge with one in the chamber, but hammer decocked (shes a sa/da), and another loaded clip in the holster. afraid to keep it in the room with a 2 and 5yo running rampant

edit: i have an old hard wood machinists tool box i inherited. it has felt lined drawers. but its in kind of rough shape. i really should see about getting it restored to consolidate my edc gear

completely understandable. I have no children around, ever. If I did on some rare occasion many things would need to relocate. firearm[s] would be on that list.

oh that sounds cool!

When I have these stuff, I feel I’m ready to go to an exotic journey in South East Asia.

benchmade had an awesome box for storage, but very expensive
http://www.benchmade.com/products/986251F

my machinist chest is about the same size but looks about twice as deep. the piece that slides out and up to hide the drawers is missing, and the front of one of the drawers.
it was my deceased step fathers grandfathers chest. was in rough shape when he died 4 years ago, when it was passed on to me

if that benchmade chest wasnt $700 retail, and discontinued i would be all over it. its blue

edit: mine looks a little taller. add one more drawer on the left side, and two more of the small drawers on the right side of that benchmade, and its pretty much the same set up

That benchmade chest is sweet but dumb expensive. Like most their stuff.

yeah, their stuff is pricey… but nice. had a griptilian that i really liked. went missing out of my night stand. at my old house when i had room mates…
edit: thanks! now i got restoring that old box on my mind again… wonder how much that will cost??

Just reading this is giving my shoebox an inferiority complex…. :frowning:

yeah my basket aint cuttin it. surprised no one commented on it or its contents yet.

sorry? Pulsar :stuck_out_tongue: If you do tackle that project you should snap a few pics in the process. would love to see that.

I collect cigar boxes and get really gorgeous ones to store my stuff in. I also have stuff in plastic compartmented containers and othe storage cases. I have odds & ends all over the place much to my fiances chagrin. :)

Nice metal lord. Is that an orange L10 I spy?

Cigar boxes is a good idea Johnny, thanks.

I’m with JohnnyMac on this one. I have a big collection of cigar boxes (emptied by me and a friend) and they make great nightstand boxes. I recently sanded and refinished a plain Acid Kuba Kuba box that holds wallet, 3 flashlights, some extra 18650’s and 16340’s, couple of EDC knives etc… Play your cards right and they are free. Cigar shops usually just throw them out. .45 lives in the headboard though.
