It was foggy last night so tried filming using new dslr. I knew the focus motor would be noticeable. This light tears throght the fog. Vpt3

Wow! It’s like a light sabre. 
I haven’t seen anything that I like better, although the FF3 is up there too. But this has noticeably more throw than the FF3 and tune-able brightness. If Michael is the throw king, them Lambda is the king of brute force punch. Ive had this light for quite a while and still amazes me. jmpaul, you measured the lux, but do you have a OTf estimate?
no clue on otf lumens… if I had to guess I’d say 1500

So just over 300K lux and about 1500 lumens OTF… I think it may be a bit more maybe 1700 but not much difference. I don’t know of any led lights as powerful. Absolutely near perfect just not pocketable.
the thing to remember about this light too is its a big chip led and huge reflector… no pencil beam here folks! nice wide column like hotspot!
This was the smaller VPT1&2 73mm reflectors I put into SR90 to show size.

The VPT3, here, is the one in the Videos. It has the larger 78mm SMO reflector.
This is another VPT3, but with an extra large 78mm LOP reflector. It has a Dedomed SST90 in the 4500k tint bin.
Drive current on these measures a little over 13A.
For fog or smoke, one should have orange tint or at least warm white.
