As far as I understand the Rayovacs are 2100mAh LSD* cells and therefore I would go with them.
*Low Self Discharge
In a german flashlight forum is a great self discharge test about Eneloops first generation (HR-3UTG), second generation (HR 3UTGA), Eneloops XX (HR 3UWX) and the normal Sanyo 2700. The user charge all and tested them after 30, 60, 90 days and 6 month (at the moment the 6 month aren't over)
The normal 2700 Sanyo could be a good pick.
The Vapex-tech 2900mAh have a real capacity of 2450mAh (after two times refresh/analyze in the Maha MH-C9000). After two years the best has only 2200mAh left, and one of the four is defect.
I have a few sets of GP Recyko's, and after more than 2 years all of them still have a real capacity of 2050-2100mAh. I also have a few sets of Top Craft Precharged 2100mAh batteries (Aldi), and they seem to be just as good as the Recyko's (at a much lower cost).
I have the sanyo 2700 nimh. After 3 months they are completely self discharged to 20-30%... 90% my ass...
Sony - Rayovac
Went for the Rayovac 4 as they seem more interesting , and there is very little info on them ... [ in my short search ]
I have 12 of the rayovac 4.0 AA batteries. They are pretty good, though I haven't done any capacity tests.
Reyovac has stopped making the 4 , for some reason , from what I have read . ?? So Im not sure whats happening , as well there seems to be some confusion as to just what the 4 is .
So these may become collectors items [ perhaps ] who knows ? , but certainly from the little bit of reading I did , it looks like there is some confusion .
