icharger 306b

How is the iCharger 306b for charging NiMH batteries and the like ? What is my best choice to charge NiMH batteries for torchlights ?

Some would argue that the real problem is using AA batteries for flashlights.

You really don't need a hobby charger unless you are looking to buy over-voltaged batteries.

Otherwise stick to chargers like the Nitecore Intellicharger.

If you are already familiar with using a hobby charger, the 306 is more than enough for all your needs.
If you will be strictly using Nimh cells, I strongly suggest this brand:

If you are only using aa/aaa rechargeable batteries but not LiIon, this is one of the best chargers

and it's available here: http://www.fasttech.com/products/1421/10001892/1136301-aa-aaa-batteries-charger-capacity-mah-tester-and

Thank you.

Sorry, but what are “over voltage” batteries ?

Pardon my French.

These are Lithium-Ion batteries that are designed withstand higher charging voltage and hence, have an increased capacity to their standard voltage counterparts.
These would generally be charged up to 4.3 or 4.35V.
Nothing at all to do with NiMH chemistry batteries.
