Yezl T8X CREE XM-L T6 1x18650 Zoomable Flashlight Group buy

Hello,

Here is where we are with this Yezl XML FTT, currently RIC@CNQ is looking for at least 10 items or more to sell. $26.50 shipped hk registered with $2 rebate. he emailed me how its going to be done but im not sure if you guys would send your paypal payments to an unknown address. has anyone dealt with CNQ at this paypal address? scorpiolyons@gmail.com i think he needs to find a better way of doing this transaction. do we even have 10 people interested in this light? maybe we should wait until the people who purchased it receives their light and does a review or shares their opinions. below are links related to this light. opinions/comments?

How about this way?

You organize a group buy. Payment sent to scorpiolyons@gmail.com

As soon as we receive the payment, we'll arrange the shipping according to the address showed in customers' PP account.

What do you think?

Thanks
Ric

My paypal payment went to that address and they did give me a tracking number but so far that number doesnt return anything. Sometimes that takes a few days. It was shipped on the 26th. I just checked again and I still get nothing from the number. My number is RT096653580HK you can check on it later if you want.

Thanks! so at least we know its a valid paypal account. i would hate for everyone to get scammed if we were to get this thing off the ground. RIC seems to be good at responding to emails. Let us know when you receive your order. thanks!

That is the first aspheric lens I've seen in an XM-L, and the first zoomable XML as well

I SOOOOOooo want this to be a good flashlight, someone get one and review it ASAP! An XML with tight throw would be awesome.

Rats, finally sold my 2010 509hp Mustang...now I can buy more lights!

Sold the red one too! Now guess what I drive, doing my penance for 500 hp commuters...

I was afraid of that. I'd be happy if they regulated it at 2500mA and had the zoom feature, that would be a show-off light for non-flashoholics.

I'll wait for some reviews, but so far the beam shots dont impress me so I'll probably pass. The small aspheric can certainly focus the LED image but its huge compared to the flood mode. Small cheap aspherics also eat up A LOT of lumens when compared to a decent reflector and work best with LED's with a high surface brightness (such as high binned XR-E's) Is it a cool light? Most definitely! Another sales thread for this light here.

Interesting that Ric was able to answer their questions. Answerd on 4/21 maybe his holiday was at CPF?

I would still like one of these. I do like the idea of waiting for the reviews.

Thanks James for your work in putting this together.

I'm interested in this light as well, once I see a review or two.  It might help if the web site clarified the number of modes.  It says it is both a 3-mode (H/M/L) and a 5-mode light.  Is that a typo, or is there a way to choose between the two mode arrangements?  The manufacturer's web site says it is actually a different third option (H, L, Strobe).

I'm in james.  Do I just flush my money away to these people or wait and do it all together?  I like this light and would love to review it.

I'm interested too. Hope it will be sent out to each address individuay. For my purposes bigger hotspot is a bonus. For tighter hotspot XR-E is good enough and I already have a few. Brighter flood is what I want so I can use faster shutter when making photos in caves and similar places.

I will ask Ric to clarify the modes. currently on their site they have two options. 3 mode HML and 5mode.

Foy, i told Ric that a sample for review would be a good thing to try and i will ask him again and see if he can do that. Do you mind if i volunteeer you?

As far as shipping, he is charging shipping for each person so it will go to each individual person who orders it.

I've tried to get this as low priced as i can. bartering with the budget stores can be hard. If everyone can wait till we get the word and just say youre interested so we can see how many.

That square beam is such a turn-off. I want my beam patterns round round round. Decent specs otherwise.

FlashPilot, that second pic is not full flood mode.  It's only about half way zoomed in that pic.  The last link in the OP will show you what full flood looks like.  AMAZING!!  Here is a pic in full flood mode:full flood

Full flood

Just let me know.  I'll buy it if I have to but if it's provided, I'll raffle it.

I have tried track trace, hk post and USPS to track this package and I get nothing. Here is the number again in case any of you guys are post geniuses. Feel free to try to come up with something and if you do post it here. This whole order has felt shady to me but I remain confident. RT096653580HK

the Yezl finally left Hong Kong today. The light will be nice I think but I could have made 50 orders to DX and Manafont with less frustration and time spent. I wont be ordering anything from these guys again.

No response at all after I paid with paypal. Days later I had to contact them to get any kind of order confirmation and then Ric posts here that the lights were sent out on a date before they responded to me saying the light was shipped that very day. Then I get this days after they told me it was shipped.

Destination - United States of America

The item (RT096653580HK) left Hong Kong for its destination on 2-May-2011

I  think that if you send your money to them, you will get your order. You will just have to stay on top of it.
