I ordered the skyray, i never wanted a p60 host again but its different and cheap so I will try it.

I’m a junky, I mod lights so I can sell lights so I can buy more light to mod so I can sell lights to buy more lights to mod.
I ordered the SkyRay and the ZY T16 (maybe an MTG2 host?)
While I have lost my love for p60’s as I have learned to mod, I still think they are useful for having a variety of cheap hosts to mess with different tints or LED’s instead of tearing down a nice light.

I can only compare to the BTU, and I didn’t leave it stock long enough for a good for a good comparison. I will say that it is bright, but doesn’t compare to the BTU in flood or throw. Close, and if runtime is key, this may be a better option.
As a mod host, everything is good except for the relatively small driver space. Most of the multi emitter drivers will not fit.

Hi Werner, you need to register and become a member before you can PM. The captcha and two questions are the membership registration questions, we need these in place to avoid spam. (spambots are believe it or not an absolutely Huge problem as some will testify here)
If you don't want the hassle of registering it may be worth cancelling your order for the skyray because Jim from Manafont will not give you a discount without TFE membership.

I could get the Lustefire - intil now I'm not a member, but I will change this. But you need a membership of 30 days or older.
The Skyray body is nice and I like it (I have two). But the beam is not round, it's angled (a result of the bezel).

Meh….I think I’ll stay here and support those who support this site. If things cost me a few cents more, so be it. I’m not THAT stingy.
It seems kind of sleazy to me, to be fishing in BLF waters for customers for other sites. Of all the boards I’ve visited, BLF is the friendliest, the most accommodating, and certainly the most lenient. I think it deserves to not be taken advantage of.
How many of these ‘off site’ sellers and shillers spend a single advertising dollar here? Until they do, they won’t be getting any of mine, and I don’t care how cheap they peddle their wares.
manafont has a presence on blf, and to be fair, sb is aware of tfe since I invited him myself, we are also not looking to usurp blf or take away members, merely give people another option if you will, heck, you can just do what many here do on cpf and have a totally different user name, who’s to know?

I am quite sure I had to type the same fields like in the registration to send a pm, that’s what confused me. Captchas for a registration is no problem, but I thought you have to do this every time…

My sincere apologies Werner, yes you're right. The new member default post to avoid captcha's on PM's was 5 post. I have fixed it now.
