Ryobi Li-Ion battery pack, low capacity INR18650s inside

Today I decided to open up a discarded Ryobi ONE+ cordless drill battery pack to see if I could find some interesting batteries inside, only found some samsung INR18650s according to samsung, they are only 1300 ma

www.samsungsdi.com/battery/cylindrical-INR18650-13Q.jsp

Only 2 batteries of the 5 were good enough to take a charge (4.04v and 4.08v resting voltage) 2 were completely dead and one read 2.4v (discarded)

Overall, save your time and find other packs to open.

I think that's pretty common... My Worx string trimmer packs use 5x INR 15Qs, and Bosch 12v drill has 3x INR 13Rs.

Most of the ones I got have samsung 13q or 13p from the Ryobis. the bigger ryobis i’ve gotten the chinese ls IMR18650bb 1.3ah from them

Those samsung cells are supposed to be pretty good. I guess life in a tool pack must be pretty hard.

I replaced the 1500mAh cells in one of my Worx packs with 2400mAh cells from a laptop pack, just to see what would happen... nothing, except longer run time. :|
