Maybe they’re like car dealers: You were dealing with a sales rep, but for some of the things on the list, he/she had to go to his/her manager?

its also 11am over there. maybe its a HK holiday, not sure if you all know about their CRAZY holiday schedules. they may also be stacked with emails and work with this new light going out. not everyone sits in front of their computers or has phones like we do. people get busy and have other things to do………sit back, release the mouse and relax

Goddamn mimes…………….

This thread really went off… If customization/BLFization is possible I would pay more for a badass 4000k xml2 version. Still interested in a “normal” one. Kinda doubt they’ll make to order. Guess we’ll see soon enough.

4.Yes , it also have SOS and Strobe, you can press switch for 2 second, it can change from strobe to SOS.

5. No,$28.26/pcs is not include shipping.   If you buy 50pcs M6,the shipping cost:  $99.67       (FedEx     5-6days)

About your forum members' question:

1. Generally , if you want to produce new model, your quantity must above 1K.

2. I am sorry ,old M6 style ,they are out of our stock. We will do not sales them any more. Pls forgive us.

Waiting your answer

Thanks&Best regards

im not sure if i was talking to someone different than yesterday, but i had tried to explain the payment/shipping idea clearly, and awaiting a response on that.

and sorry haterade... i forgot pwm again. got distracted by the shipping cost. next time, i promise

didnt think with a small(ish) order like this they would customize to our liking. but i wasnt looking for a full out factory custom when i spotted this light, and started the group buy.

edit: and the photo they linked was just beam shots

I thought that they were going to give you (or you were asking for) shipping cost for individual lights?

i had sent them another email, explaining yesterday they would allow each member involved in the group buy to pay them directly, and that they would ship directly to each forum member. asked them how much it would cost per piece shipped to each member.

like i said, i think i was talking with someone else yesterday

Dear Nick,

Ok,pls check the attachment.

Now I know your meaning.  You total quantity is 50pcs, and will shipping to different country.

The M6 I still can give you $28.26/pcs,but the shipping charge is different . It depens on which country.

Your group nember can buy this flashlight directly form us, but you must be pay for this different shiping charge

Waiting your answer

i am also going to ask about PWM frequency and if the tripod mount is sealed off from the internal circuits

Please put me down for 2 lights, assuming shipping to Canada would be <=$50.
Thanks!

I'm probably misunderstanding something, but 2.5A per LED, seems quite high, for a multi LED light.  What are the SRK's pulling?  IIRC it was ~5.5A.

This driver would be pulling at least 7.5A... which is great, if that's the case, but it would suck to find out that the driver is actually just 2.5A.

Also, any other option for LED, or strictly only XMLT6?

please put me down for one if the price is ~$30 shipped.

FYI, the chinese characters on the light says “authentication inquiry phone number 4006883323”

I'm maybe in for 2 depending on the to price.

But if it were me, producing these light and selling them for $28, I wouldn't like changing to many things for 50 hungry and widely variable preferenced BLFers.

Wink

I want high Pwm, white haIII, cw around 5500-6000, 4 emitters, xml 2, no blinkies, and direct on copper, and they should add a mag. control ring.

Just kidding.

If LEDs are in series, each LED would get the same current ie, 2.5A and at approximately 700lumens per XM-L at 2.5A, the claim of 2000lumens sounds correct.

The light seems interesting but 1) I’m international and unless they are shipping via HKpost, I can’t jump in. (shipping a box that size to me via fedex would cost in the range of $27US.) 2) I’m NOT a fan of cool white.

My gratitude to those who are willing and able to help others (in whatever way you can)! Being human is more than just existing for yourself. Smile

hoping the individual shipment cost to Indonesia can make the total around $30 too.
maybe we can encourage them, this is BLF. if this group buy success supfire will receive lots of attention and positive sentiment. just consider as part of promotion cost.

thanks Pulsar for all efforts!

Thanks a lot Pulsar for your efforts on this! I’m interested at this point, but still on the fence. Looking forward to more details from the supplier.

hey guys

got some more details last night...

PWM is 500hz... not a big deal to me, as the original driver will be swapped with texaspyros, but probably is to some of you. im not sure what the original SRK used.

after some searching i found this review:

http://budgetlightforum.com/node/8459

dr jones said the king had 184hz

and regarding the tripod mount. in less words, they said dirt and water can not get inside the light through that hole

regarding the shipping cost, they said it would depend on how many pieces was shipped to each country. i will email them back tonight, try to make it as clear as possible that we are just looking for a shipping quote per piece shipped via HK Post.

like i said, they do not seem to speak the best english, so i will have to try to reword it...

Thanks for the update Pulsar!

500Hz isn’t too bad, I’ve dealt with lights that had 120Hz PWM as well. Smile

i dont think that is going to happen. i am thinking about suggesting a nice flat rate of $30 per light, shipped.

im hoping this goes good and we hit 50 pieces or more. ive been doing some scrounging trying to find another new light for the next GB if this one goes through smoothly. got my eye on a couple, but we will see

gotchya

I just sent them an email suggesting a flat rate of $30 shipped through HKPost with tracking

I had also updated them that we are up to 33 pieces claimed, with more possibly pending final price shipped. maybe that will motivate them to do the $30 shipped

also, if you have one claimed and dont really plan on buying it, let me know. not trying to be pushy, but i dont want to hit 50 pieces and tell everyone to start paying and only end up with, say, 30 pieces bought.

i would like to try and organize more group buys in the future, but only if it goes smoothly with all members involved (manufacturer and forum members)
