BTW, if this is 50mm and not 46mm, whats the odds you can do a small run of your bad@$$ driver at 50mm?

Please put me down for ~$30 shipped to the US.

Thank you for organizing this groupbuy for us!

The light looks like a great deal in the $30 range. My expectations are a littel tepid, as more than likely it’s 2.5A total for all 3 LED’s. Either way it has to be better than the mystery wallbuys skyray turd I bought. Put me down for 1. Thanks for organizing this. Very cool of you.

I sure hope its not 2.5A total. That would be turdtastic.

I like copper

im on the fence depending final costs and specs. im already listed as a “yes” but just wanted to let you know per your request earlier. hoping the specs and price come back good since this looks to be a great option, could be better than the SRK and i am possibly selling my Kung (anyone, pm me if interested since i havent had the time to list it here yet)

If the point was to just make it 4mm wider I think that could easily be done with an adapter ring of sorts (just a pcb of the right size that had a copper pour over the whole thing)

I’m in for 1 provided it’s in the $30-ish delivered price range. Cash

I am pending but more in than out, watching this thread closely.
I have an eye for the king since TP is building the custom driver so this could be the host for it.
Will someone get a review sample like with the lights from Rey?
And what about a customs logo printed on?
What does the Chinese symbols above the switch stand for?
Does it come with the box, I guess charger and batteries are crap so there should be no interest? And tis could lower the price…

What about a light without emitters so that everyone can build the light he wants…I guess it’s impossible to fulfill all wishes as they are to individual

this price is for just the light, no charger or cells included, they wanted about $6-8 more for the charger and cells and i assumed no one here would be interested.

im not sure about a light without emitters, but i think i will get the same answer as different emitters. i think we are getting ones from the first run of production. same with the custom logo. they want an order of 1k or more typically to do custom runs

no, unless someone else has contacted them for a review sample no one is getting one. i dont feel comfortable to contact a manufacturer and ask for a sample of a light.

someone earlier in the thread had translated the chinese texts, and it says something about verifying serial numbers

i think thats all of it.

Once the shipping cost to Canada have been determined, I might be in for one.
Can you ask if they would open up the head and take pictures of the emitter plate and driver area? This would help determine if it is a good mod host and if it has decent heatsinking.

Welcome the night.

i dont think that is going to happen. i am thinking about suggesting a nice flat rate of $30 per light, shipped.

That’s fine as well, I’m in for $30! Smile

Edit: I just noticed something, the driver seems like it’s fixed by a washer/screw and can be easily taken out.

Could it be the case that the driver itself is 45mm rather than 50mm?
Could we ask them to unscrew the retaining ring and measure the actual size?

Thanks for all your efforts Pulsar!

The website shows a box with the flashlight and 4 included 18650’s. Does the group buy include the batteries? If it does, then I am in for 1.

no it doesnt. i assumed that no one here would want the charger or batteries. it was something like $6-8 more for the cells and charger. im sure if you wanted them, you could pay the $6-8 more for the charger and cells

They should really think hard what it needs to be done if they want to sell something outside of China…

Why are they building a new light with old emitters? Why not XML2-U2’s? Can you ask them what it would cost with second generation emitters? You might get more people interested.

I’m a junky, I mod lights so I can sell lights so I can buy more light to mod so I can sell lights to buy more lights to mod.

i already did, they want a MOQ of 1,000 pieces for a custom run. im not sure why they are building a new light with old emitters either.

on another note, we are only 10 off from hitting the 50 pieces.

because old emitter can be found cheaply and for new ones you can get good price only if you buy entire roll (1000pcs), that would be my guess…

Maybe someone can do a batch emitter swap? That would be fun!
