Glad this seems to have gotten sorted out. I think it will be good for all involved.

I’m still in at $33 shipped, but I would need the package marked at under $25 value to avoid customs fees of 20% + around $15 for processing it. That never seems to be an issue with other Chinese vendors though.
and I/we can discuss the listed cost tonight with them. i think the quoted $28.26 would be the honest way out, but wont hurt to try $25. was a late night of negotiating LOL i got like no sleep...

Could you ask about the throw? I am very interested, but would like to know that before I commit. The photos on the web site are not very informative, as it’s hard to know without a known distance for reference.
If I did my own mods I wouldn’t care, but I haven’t gotten into modding yet.
I am happy as long as its 28,26$. Which I believe is the correct value since that seems to be the cost of light without shipping. No need for them to make the content value higher than it is.
When that is said, I would not care if the package said 10 or 20.
Most HK/China vendors seem to just mark stuff as gift and 10$ anyway..
Pulsar, if it's over $30, I don't want to buy them. Sorry, but $60 is my maximum budget for this month and I don't feel the lights are worth more than $30 each. My apologies, but I have to draw the line in the mud somewhere...

He’s been a great resource to this community both as a member and a hard core modder, and I don’t want him to miss out on this opportunity just because of $3.
Let me know of your PP and I’ll send out $3.12 right away.
Actually, I don't mind paying $3 for OL. He's been a great resource to this community both as a member and a hard core modder, and I don't want him to miss out on this opportunity just because of $3. Let me know of your PP and I'll send out $3.12 right away. :)
that would be great! i dont want to see Justin miss out either, but i only have just under $30 to play with in PP, and as some of you may know i have been out of work the last few weeks on an injury... so i can not really help
i had got you added streamer, and justin, i had taken you off for the time being.
we are hovering right around 50 right now, sometimes higher, sometimes lower.
also, i feel i should put this out here right now.
_the_ had agreed to pay the full $33 for his light up front, in turn for upgraded shipping to DHL. if we do this we could hold off on the final group buy pending his results.
do you guys want to put the group buy off for _the_ to review, or would the majority prefer to just make the group buy happen ASAP?
and I/we can discuss the listed cost tonight with them. i think the quoted $28.26 would be the honest way out, but wont hurt to try $25. was a late night of negotiating LOL i got like no sleep...
Sure, as I have a feeling someone will end up backing out at the last minute.

I personally say ASAP, _the_'s review isn't going to make or break the deal for me. Also, by putting it off while the review is made we are risking that more people will backout.

So you are at under 33? PM me your paypal address.
i vote for a review by the first as well. not fond of spending money on unknown items and especially after how some of the recent chinese lights turned out. better safe than sorry IMO.

i just want to make it clear, that having one reviewed before the group buy was final was not part of the original plan. so if majority chooses to get the lights bought and shipped ASAP, i hope that does not make some of you want to back out. _the_ had offered to do it at his cost, and feel it is up to the group buy to choose, majority rules. like i said, i would prefer to get mine ASAP, but will go with what the group as a whole would prefer
I say strike while the iron is hot. $33 is not a lot to risk for a potentially very nice light. So ASAP is my vote.
+1 Where can I put my money and how soon can my light be shipped? :p
i am going to work on payment arrangements tonight. as their noon is my midnight, does not leave much time frame for discussion and negotiations each night.
edit: this is my first time trying to organize something like this. i will have a better idea next time what to negotiate up front, such as final cost of the item SHIPPED. i did not expect the shipping quote we had gotten for this one
they said HK Post is significantly more than china post. probably since they are based in china and not hong kong.
I think we have reached the lowest price at this point, and have updated the original post to reflect the final cost shipped and shipping methood

Any guesses on throw, and on battery life (say with Sanyo 2600’s)?
Jim
I'm in for one (maybe more, but I have to ask some friends). So please take me in the list for only one at the moment.
Light up the darkness.
Sorry, that's my mistake. As soon as I fet to my computer I will change that. It is supposed to sa China post.

I know this is hard without the physical light, but could someone weigh the differences between this and the SRK?
I thought that the PWM is better and the reflector is “uninterrupted.” Anything to add guys?
Cheers!

And sorry Justin, I think $33 is as low as it will go. I'll remove you when I get back to the computer

i can come up with the rest, im just saying i would have loved to PP Justin a little to cover the difference, but i am just not able to at this time.
i am going to see what majority says about waiting for a review sample, as i will be buying it either way because i am looking at it as a mod host.
so put in your input on the matter, when we start exchanging emails tonight, i will let them know what majority would like

If you decide to wait for a review sample I might reconsider and go thru for this one (even with those chinese characters that noone understands)
