Show me the light...

...that this goes in! 3 x 18650? I can't recall seeing that, who has one?

The battery holder is on Manafont for less than 3 bucks.

Rats, finally sold my 2010 509hp Mustang...now I can buy more lights!

Sold the red one too! Now guess what I drive, doing my penance for 500 hp commuters...

Wow, those are both fugly lights, I'm sorry I asked...

Would that 3-18650 adapter fit in a maglite body?

No. Even if drastically bored - though it might just be possible with an early D cell Mag without an initial D in its serial number. Easy way to check if you have an old one is to make a bundle of 3 18650s and hold them together with a rubber band. This will not work with a recent D mag. I've tried.

The numbers from my light tests are always to be found here.

Darn. I wish there was a manafont or DX corner hardware store (outside of KH) where you could go buy parts and play with what's interchangeable and what is not.

Having to wait 6 weeks to find out sort of takes the fun out of it.

I kinda like the anticipation.  Not too much, mind you.  (hello DX, yeah I'm talkin' to you)

Nice stuff for DIY builds.Wonder if we could unscrew those plates to make it more compact, perhaps rip it into three parts?

Ok trooplewis , you've got the perfect "host" here.

Looks like a high tech version of those kiddie shoes that light up when they walk. What if someone installed XM-Ls in their kiddie's shoes? Anyone up for it?

Then they would have XM-L foot-warmers!

No matter if it does or not... (I doubt it, BTW), it still makes a nice charger battery holder.

While it would work to some extent; it's better (and by better I mean safer) to charge cells one at a time, rather than as a pack.

These are in serial connection, would be nice to have another one also in parallel too.

Don,

Not going to happen. I checked an old one that sits in the shop, and the body would be paper thin, and the tailcap threads would be gone.

Useful to know. Thanks
