In case anyone was interested, I saw these Westinghouse AA 14500 Rechargeable LiFePO4 batteries @ Walmart in the garden section.

Very interesting. Probably not so great but i would like to see a test on these!

Search BLF, there have been tests and they aren't so great. I bought a 4 pack last year, but haven't used them much. The thread with the tests are pretty old I think.

End of season they will both be $5 a pack. The AA go fast. I almost got the 18500s once but didn’t figure I’d ever need them.

I got my last (and only) pack for $3.99 there. Used them in the 6 mode G10 but had very little run time. Ymmv

They’re OK, but wait and try to get them on sale in the fall. I use them in a Balder SE-1/Lighthound 1AA as it’s unregulated and these 3.2V cells give it a decent brightness boost.
