I bought this light a few months ago because I wanted to see what HID lights had to offer. All I can say is they offer a massive amount of light and throw. I just haven't been able to get used to how big the light is. I am used to TN31 and TK75 "pocket" torches.
This comes with a 70W 4300k bulb and 70W ballast. I don't have a way to accurately measure how far it throws but it throws farther than my LEDs. It has a strange beam though so sometimes it is hard to realize how far it is actually throwing. I wasn't able to get a good picture with my Point-and-Shoot camera though. It came out green looking and over-exposed. The tint is actually cool white.
Sadly when I bought this light I found some good beamshots comparing it with many $200+ LED throwers and it creamed them. I cannot seem to find them now. It goes by many names; I think YAO is another common name for this model if you want to try and search. The YAO version is 35W/80W and they claim 3200lumens and 8000lumens. So mine should be 5000+lumens?

Oh yeah, that's the thread that got me hooked. That is also the company I ordered from too. I had to custom order the 70W from them. They really get you on the shipping costs. It also took 2 months to receive.
