Sticky'd. Thanks FlashPilot!

Done.

Great idea Flash!

Good man Fishin. Thanks for always helping out.

Anytime Flash. I'll do anything for my BLF friends.

Don,

sorry for your loss.

Sincerely,

Budgeteer

What can I say?

You've been great folks!

Thanks all for your kindness.

Here she is with me three weeks ago on a film set.

Here she is with Johnny the bass player

Thanks again everyone!

I've been looking at the various giant schnauzer breeder's websites. But I won't be getting another for a while - it wouldn't be fair to get another dog expecting it to be a Fizzy. Not fair to the dog, or to me.

Thanks for the great photos. What film set is that, and who is Johnny? Its easy to see that you guys are having waaaaay to much fun. I hope you're hanging in there friend. We miss you when you're not around.

Here's wishing you the very best.

You obviously had a nice life together, she always looked contented in your photos...well except for that one with the bad hair cut :)

I think the next BLF custom light should be named FIZZ.

PP sent.

Don, I'm really sorry. But I'm not saying this just to be polite, this put me really sad because my Mora looks like a tiny Fizz.

I hope you can get a dog to share your time and love with.. and you shouldn't think you are replacing Fizz, thats not possible, she will always live in your heart.. It's nice to think that she wasn't ill or suffering and every moment of her life, she was having a good time.

Be strong Don!

(I'm not used to english polite words, sorry for that. Thats what I really feel and think)

Love the idea about the light!

Dogs do get into your heart deeply. I got sent a link to her video appearance. This was just three weeks before she died. The link may not work for long though. She is in the last second or two of the song. The cocker spaniel you see first belongs to the director of this video.

you never told us she had acting chops =D

That was a beautiful song and video.

RIP FIZZ.

the loss of our furry little buddies is horrible - i miss my shepard terribly.

but as one person told my you cant not have them because they bring so much joy and its such a unique bond.

hope you remember all the good times and cuts through the pain. Maybe one day if you believe in it we can run these guys again.

All i know is i give my little buddy a big hug everyday before and after work.

Deepest sympathies bro

Oh, man... I am so sorry-it tears me up whenever I see a post like this. My sincerest condolences... I know how it is-we have three dogs. We lost our Lab Lucy 3 years ago. (I only found this thread today)

I have a lifelong mental health history (depression) -if I didn't have dogs I'd probably be in the state hospital by now. Been disabled since 2005.

I share my history because I know how vital dogs really are... it's not G-O-D spelled backward for no reason! I wouldn't last long without animals.

May I suggest adopting another? We got another Lab within a couple of weeks, and she kept/keeps us busy so the hole left by Lucy isn't so huge.

I do yoga on a regular basis and even though my beliefs are Scriptural, yoga has expanded my beliefs and I'm much more flexible in my thinking. So I'm convinced that when the soul, the life force, leaves the body, it takes a different form of energy that we will recognize when we pass over... I refuse to believe that things just stop when the body wears out. I'm thoroughly convinced that we'll be re-united with our pets!

Thanks dorpmuller for your kind thoughts.

I was going to wait till the end of the year as this year is going to be horribly busy, but last week I found a place (300 miles away) that had adult giant schnauzers available - I really wouldn't have the time for a puppy this year. So I'm going to Lancaster to collect her on Saturday afternoon - she's called Dieta and she's 5 years old. She was being bred from but is now retired.

The house was just too empty without a hound in it. I just hope she gets on better with the Airedales next door than Fizz did. All the folk in the video above can't wait to meet her, they were so impressed with Fizz. It was Beefy, the rhythm guitar player's 40th birthday last week and there was a huge party last night. We all had a ball. The very bad singing in the background was me, I'm afraid to say. Beefy's the guy with all the hair.

There can never be another Fizz, she really was an amazing dog and was superbly trained since she'd been a show dog. She had prizes from Crufts. I really enjoyed letting her slide out of that training as I'd no use for it - she got to do what she liked pretty much as I knew she'd stop whatever it was if I told her to. The one thing I could never get her to do was go on beds - someone had evidently made it very clear to her when she was small that dogs don't go on beds.

One of the reasons I was planning to wait since I was certain I wanted another giant schnauzer was that I'd end up always comparing it to Fizz.

Love the video and you sing 'love is blind' very well. lol

"We're gonna need some more cowbell!"

The cowbell was a joke - Beefy hates them with a passion, so of course he got one as a birthday present. Along with some better stuff.
