If it wasn’t for labor day, i’d probably have mine today, maybe tomorrow….it’s already left the main receiving in NY, generally goes straight to a main Texas distribution center, then I have it next day….but then again, this is the first time I’ve ordered to this address since I moved last month, so I might not get it till wednesday or thursday
Some whining in medium.. but I fastened the pill a bit more and it stopped the whining.
I would still like to know if I can get rid of the blink in both the s5 and s8.
I was thinking about connecting to one of the other stars on the driver, to get a low medium high, without the option to choose between the 2 sets and get rid of the blink. I wonder if those stars still have a function or if it's been removed with the reprogramming of the driver firmware.

Anybody know?
Protected cell fits.
On all of the ones I have that have the blink on low, stars do nothing.
Got mine, very nice 18650 light with good anodizing.
Obvious but, it won’t be able to handle full drive of 7135*8 for long time, even with those thick engine block style heatsink.
Then, wouldn’t it be a fair to read the sellers product page first or at least? After all, he did provide us with some nice torches for only 5 bucks?
…Positive feedback would also be nice way to say thanks if you like what you received for only $5.01 that is…

A programming bug?
Does anyone know if this is the Nanjg driver with an Attiny13A that can be reprogrammed? Laughing out loud

Interesting, didn’t know that.
Could you post a link to one of the FT lights that has the programming mode? I’ll have to give it a good read.
just saying…
P.S. I am waiting for some close up pictures an impressions to help me decide get one while it is ~17$. Reminds me at Fenix PD35 and I like that design but Fenix is $60+ and this one is much cheaper
Can anyone explain to a dummy how the tracking works? On the china post page link I enter my tracking number in the first line and the captcha in the second line right? Or am I doing it wrong. I can’t read the page to figure it out.
I expected review by now!
Anyone get flashlight?
I think I will get mine tomorrow, will let you guys know once I got it.
Left customs this afternoon, usually next day on my doorstep.

“That’s why I got two, one for the each of ya”
I'm hoping this is light #3 that shows up tomorrow. I didn't pay for tracking, so it'll be a surprise.
The low mode should be lower.
Mine hit my local post office today. Should be delivered tomorrow

Mine arrived.. Will report back later today.

Got mine too, looks just as good as in the photos.
The threads are nicely lubed and the light itself feels solid.
The switch does travel a little bit farther than my other switches.
The pill doesn’t have any thermal grease, so applying some would increase thermal conductivity.

My tracking number still doesn’t work
so, when can I expect some closeup pictures?
Today.

I did a half press after the blink on low and it was toggled to the three mode programming just like the Fast Tech lights.
Interesting, didn’t know that.

@ ryansoh3, where did you get your S8 from?
I think I was lucky enough to grab it in the promo.

from Simon, for $5.01? That promo?
That’s correct, it arrived just yesterday.

You’re right, I didn’t read the product description, my bad.
Thanks for your very kind help.

I knew about the mode settings...
But I dislike the very obvious BLINK...
I have another driver, that also has this option (but with 4 different sets of modes) but the blink is much less noticeable.
I already had it happened that I turned off the light exactly right after the blink, which means that I`m back to 5-modes with blinkies..
But for $5 it`s a steal! Great little flashlight.
I hope to be able to reprogram these drivers to 4 modes.. (after I get a soic8 clip, which still can take a while)

Anyone got pics? Especially with something else in there for comparison…
I have the clip and board...I haven't used it though. I suppose I can finally give it a try.
