Expired CR123 for cheap?

So batteriesandbutter.com has expired energizer and duracell CR123 for pretty cheap. $.35 for the E2 energizer, mfg in 2002.

Anyone do any tests on expired batteries? I know they last longer than alkalines………and they are SOOOOOOOO much cheaper than a regular cr123.

Thoughts?

They should be OK in single cell lights. Whatever you do DO NOT USE THEM IN MULTI-CELL LIGHTS!

CR123 batteries are probably the most dangerous battery to use in multi-cell lights. I would NEVER own one. If one cell goes weak, it can reverse charge and CR123 cells get very angry when that happens.

I think I may order 25 of each myself. I like to use primaries if I can get them for a deal. thanks for the heads up!
