She can’t walk on her own and stopped eating or drinking today. She’s been going downhill at pretty quickly this summer but I didn’t realize it could come so suddenly. We might be saying goodbye soon. This is how I’ll remember her.

Sorry to hear she’s not doing well. Have you tried force feeding her Karo syrup or something to keep her blood sugar up? Scratch her behind the ears once for me and the missus if you can. Our dogs aren’t just like family. Our dogs are family.
We’ve been there quite a few times ourselves, and currently have a Chihuahua with back, knee and heart problems. We feel your pain.

Have you had her checked out? Sometimes there is an infection or stomach or other issue which she could recover from…I hope its the case for yours. Wish her well.

Been there two months ago after 14 years of joy. Same thing. Had to put him asleep as he couldn’t walk on his own anymore and wouldn’t eat or drink. That’s just the way of life. May she go to eternal reward and enjoy it there. Hope she meets Thor
So sorry to hear Rufus. Hoping it is something that she fully recovers from. If you have to put her down, be there for her in her final moments. I betting you wouldn't do anything less anyway.
