Yiklik (YLE) 18650A205 Batteries

Hi,

I got some of these batteries out of a laptop pack pull:

The pack was “new” and batteries are in good shape, and initial voltages were all in the 2.65V+ range.

I’m charging them now in several of my chargers, including my Accucel. I also tried one of them (partially charged, couldn’t wait) in one of my lights that has a 7135 type driver with extra 380 mA 7135s stacked, and tailcap current was about 3.4 amps.

Has anyone seen these before, and if so, how are they?

Curious, what laptop pack? age/brand/computer etc Never seen or heard of those, I’d certainly remember a Yiklik!

It was from my mistake on an Ebay purchase, for a not new, but supposedly never-used Sony battery pack, that I thought was a genuine Sony pack, but is a 3rd party pack. I’ve charged 9 of the batteries already, some last night, and they’re holding voltage today so far. I haven’t run a discharge test on any of them yet (Accucel has been busy .

I think Comfychair has some experience with some of the Chinese cells out there. He may be able to help you.

Ok, thanks. I just got done charging all of them and am running a discharge test on one of them now, and will be posting results when that gets done, if nothing else, just for the record.

EDIT: Discharge test result was 2242 mAh, so it about right, around 2250 mAh. Given that I was able to get 3.4 or so amps tailcap with a partially charged battery earlier, seems like these are ok?

EDIT 2: I’m been waiting for someone to post a comment about the company name, “Yiklik” :)…

LOL. I didn't really notice the that about the name before hand.

Sounds like they are at least good enough for single cell use. I would find out more at the manufacturing quality before using in series.

Yes, I don’t plan on using them in series.

Question: Their specs say 80mOhms internal resistance. Is that high, compared to other batteries like Panasonics? Or low?
