WTB: Cheap GPS unit

Does anyone have an old/unused (no longer used/needed) GPS unit they would be willing to part with cheaply? Since purchasing my China-scoot...

...I would like to get a cheap GPS unit for the sole purpose of verifying my speedometer accuracy. I don't care about screen size or up-to-date maps. As long as it works and is cheap, I'll be happy. PM me if you have one sitting that you no longer use and I'll be glad to take it off your hands!

I use my mobile (cheap) android for that…I use it as GPS and as app to record my bicycle rides (strava)

My LG Android phone cost me $25…it comes with GPS and there are several speedometer apps available for free download.

Yeah, my Android device doesn't have GPS so I'm hoping somebody would have their old standalone unit they aren't using anymore...

I used to see cheap gps units but those aren't common since smartphones are taking over that market.

You can get any cheap GPS module easily found on dx.com.
Some friends of mine bought their GPS module from dx.com and they’re happy with it.

actually if you have android phone… you can download Waze… it’s the the most popular free app these day.
GPS with built in traffic report, red light cameras and police look out

4.3” screen and iGo8

Before there were any iPads or smartphones, there was a community on the Internet that had a simple to install hack that converted a gps unit into a kind of tablet computer, keeping the GPS functionality.

For me, before there was a BLF, there was “MioPocket”
