New on the forum and like cheap, single AA torches.Your thoughts on this one?Also says AAA,but looks like AA to me.

I'd like to hear opinions on this light also if anyone has one..for 8$ I may give it a whirl..

Well this body has been copied already. But the ultrafire branding is new to me. It would be a great deal if the modes were as advertised. I'm pretty sure though it's a simple 1-mode light.

EDIT: Ultrafire branding isn't new either.

Thanks for the links to DX. People there says they sometimes gets 3 mood ones!

I sent a question about the batteries to one of the sellers at Ebay.

For $8 and an Aspheric lense AA light, I took a chance on it and ordered it. Says it can use 14500 as well.

Can't see any word I can trust :bigsmile: Clearly copy-paste from LED Lenser page and other light description. I'm 99% sure you will not receive any pouch (that came with light, aparently :bigsmile: )

I wouldn't bother, get a Sipik SK68 instead. It's $10 and known to be good.

Or maybe a Romisen RC-C6? Just got one from Manafont, seems well made for $10, and it's twist action, which I like better than the push/pull of the Sipik SK68. Really clean flood-beam, too

I have a LL P14 and a P17 and I don't like either one. If I don't like a "real" Led Lenser I'm certain to be underwelmed by a fake one but for $8 shipped? Worth a try if you like it. (I realize this is a completely different light)

The RC-C6 sold by Manafont is a unfortunately a fake not made by Romisen, the CR123 version that is. The AA model that was never made by Romisen at all.

LOL? Fake romisens? Are the RC-C8 still genuine? It's by far the best 3xAAA / 18650 zoomie i had. I wish it was on sale somewhere. 15usd at KD (originally bought at LT but will not buy there).

There are fake Ultrafire, Trustfire and Solarforce lights so why not?

The C8 is is a real design from the actual Romisen company (Shenzhen Romisen Electronic Factory) but I don't know if there are fakes/clones of it too. Someone complained here that their C8 had a crappy switch, which sounds like it's fake (my RC-29 has a very good switch).

Now the sellers on Ebay changed back to AA batteries. Excited to buy from China and the waiting process is free, too.

Got my flashlight today. It was disappointing. Three mood was missing (removed in the ad as well). Focus slide was no resistance so I will have to tape it or use rubber band.Beam is good enough to be my new bicycle light.
