SRM LB-763 Ganzo G711

Just a heads-up that FastTech have the SanRenMu LB763 and the Ganzo G711 showing as now in stock.

I’ve not tried the Ganzo but I’m sure it’s up to Ganzo’s usual high standard.

The SanRenMu LB-763 I have had for a year or more and it is a beautiful little knife, same as the GB-763 but it has aluminium handles instead of the GB’s G10.
It is Identical, the same machining inside the scales, the same steel inserts for the Axis lock mechanism and lanyard slots, and the same brownish backspacer.
In my opinion this is the best version of the Axis lock on a Chinese knife.

The pocket clip is reversible for left or right hand carry so truly ambidextrous. It’s not a large knife but the blade has a deep “belly” and is a good slicer.

It also has the same bottle opener as the GB-763!

There’s a review of the GB-763 by jamesearljonesisascab here

EDIT Apologies to JohnnyMac. He requested them to be stocked by FastTech and I missed his post in FastTech interesting new products here.

Ganzo g711: I like the blade and the handle but i put in this forum a video that you can see a poor engaged lock system. I pass.
SRM 763: It’s the aluminion version, not the g10, well the price is a bit high for a so tiny folder, i prefer add more $ (five more or so) and get another larger knife that was int my wish list.

I have both the aluminum 763 and G-10. The aluminum is nicer. It feels like better quality and is only a hair heavier but still plenty lightweight.

That $10 price is as good as you will find for a 763.

I de-anodized mine by soaking it in Greased Lightning . Shiny .

looks great :)

That does look good, I like the thumbstud removed as well, I’ve just done that to a SanRenMu B4-735 the before shot.

I’ve not got around to taking any photos of the after, I decided to give it a complete strip and clean then lube and re-assemble.
Then I took some 800wet/dry to it and gave it that kicked about look. It turned out to be such a good flipper that I took the thumbstud off. Strange, it came with four washers at the pivot, brass each side of the blade phosphor-bronze on the lock bar side and nylon on the side that gets the pressure from the lockbar.

Hey, I recently bought a 763 and disassembled it for cleaning and lubrication… terrible idea, I cannot find a way to put it back together! I have tried everything (except taking apart the axis lock, I gues they can be unscrewed) and right now Im only have to thread the pivot screw through the liners, washer, blade, washers, and final liner… what a nightmare.

Can you post how you managed to put all back together?? I will really really appreciate it!!!

Thanks in advance!

It is a bit of a pain getting them back together, I’ve got one with the blade out at the moment that I can’t get the pivot screw back into the liners, a SanRenMu badged as a Land 6261, I’ll probably end up stripping it right down, I’m replacing the bearing washers with phosphor bronze and I’ve only got 0.005” so I need 3 on each side and it takes a couple of weeks to get the 0.015 washers from the U.S.A.

These videos helped me loads. They aren’t of the LB-763 but an Axis lock is an Axis lock.
The only difference might be if the LB-763 doesn’t have the holes to put the lock bar back through the scales, then I suppose you’d have to unscrew the studs and slot it back in that way. Sorry, I have an LB-763 but I haven’t stripped it yet.
I try to adjust the Ω springs while you can get at them as well.

Let us know how it goes and good luck.

Hi Steve, where did you get the B4-735 from? Looks very nice

I bought it from Exduct, about 3 weeks delivery time, I’ve sent you a P.M. with some info in it about other stores as well.
Nothing wrong with Exduct though, especially since he’s getting new models in fairly regularly, even got their own brand now.
