I just checked tMart's daily deal and noticed they introduced a voting system for the next deal (tomorrow?).
http://www.tmart.com/ShopWays/Daily-Deals.html
Currently five products are offered, of which only the UltraFire G4-MCU Q5 is of interest to this forum.
So if you want it to be the next deal, just vote for it (you don't need to be signed in, I think they block double votes by browser session).
So... is the UltraFire G4-MCU Q5 worth 11.32$?
Couldn't find a review here.
That looks like an Ultrafire C2. I bought one without the emitter at DX for $11, so that is a good price with a Q5.

The problem with that light is protected 18650s do not fit in it, at least they did not fit in the one I got from DX.

It is a really nice light except for the battery issue, with a 2.8 amp driver and an XM-L it has a nice hot spot and it handles the heat on high just fine.
I am already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.
Thanks for the heads up! Voted for it. (Need a new home for a neutral XM-L from brted ;))
Is it 5 mode , or 3 mode ??? If its 5 mode its a good deal , if its 2 modes + rubbish mode ?? Im not sure I would want it at any price .
Always remember , the easiest thing in the world to do , is to expel hot air from your lungs and through some vocal chords ..
The resulting sound may , or may not be worth listening too ….
If you can trust the reviews (which I don't) it's 3-mode (H-M-S). But I would use it as a host only (prefer non-P60 for XM-L) so I don't care about the original driver.
It's one thing to advertise max lumens from the emitter rather than the actual output of the flashlight, but unless they're talking about two Q5 emitters, this seems completely imaginary.
Why is CREE spelt with a upside down R?
In one of the shots all of the letters are upside down because the image is flipped (reflected) vertically.
A friend of mine ordered this light about a month ago and received 5 mode. It also shipped from the Brooklyn wharehouse.
This looks like a C8 but the head is smaller. If you look at the pictures carefully they actually photographed a C8 in one of the pictures.
For $11.xx might make a good host.

I voted.. Seems to be a good deal.

Welcome to BLF okyeung
I think I was first to buy!
Received my Tmart package today. once again shipped from across the river (Usually no more than two days to reach me)
Same white baggie with the flashlight in its box inside. The sku E00358 is on the box, same as on the webpage. Opened it up and out popped a C8.
The Giggle Loop
Wow. I could have had a C8! I would have bought one if I had know that, but I held off because I wasn't sure the G4 would be enough of a difference vs. a P60 light.
Yeah, this one was a gamble. like I had said earlier if you look at the pic in the decription one of them clearly shows a C8. A friend of mine in Queens ordered this same sku a month or two ago and got the G4 body, but ordered on this daily deal and got the C8 as I did.
What they may be doing out of the Brooklyn warehouse is substituting the C8 for the G4.
I spoke to him tonight just to ask which one he received to see if mine was just a one off.
I am happy, Hope anyones shipped from Brooklyn is a C8. post your loot

One thing that's worth pointing out perhaps, is that Tmart has a presence in the US (in NJ, if I recall correctly) and there's a chance that at least customers based in the lower 48 states will receive a different item than the rest of the world. Back in January, Tmart had a 502b Q5 on sale for five bucks and some change (no doubt a mistake on their part) and while the US warehouse send out a free charger and an unprotected 18650 (neither of which were even mentioned on their webpage) along with the flashlight in a nice box, the rest of the world got just the flashlight and the battery in some bubble wrap.
Yes, I agree.
Tmart upon further research has connection to Gadget Town as well as other known China companies.
Depending on the item and the dropshipper used ultimately determines what one receives.
It's really all about where your item is shipped from.
With the live chat they have I have asked where a particular item will ship from according to my location.

I hope I get a c8
So bummed I missed this one
*slaps himself on head*
I could have had a C8!
I find it easier to just hit myself upside the head before ordering as well as when ordering ... either way it's the wrong choice ..
If i was on deal or no deal ...without choosing ..i'd get the ... no deal ...ah too bad try again next time

If every (in the US?) got the c8, then we can stiill get it for $15 - coupon which is still a good deal. Can everyone who got one pipe up?

People were saying they got the c8 when they bought this: http://www.tmart.com/UltraFire-G4MCU-5W-400-Lumens-CREE-Q5-5-Mode-LED-Fl...
I was asking if everyone got the c8 or what, because it's a good deal at the normal price.

I bought the daily deal and ended up with a C8 - very nice light for $11...pretty tight thrower with some usable spill.
Dave
The light arrived today in the mail which was a nice surprise because I had totally forgotten about it.
It's very nicely built with good machining, clean threads and the wall of the body is rather thick. The lens had some finger print coating on it, but the reflector luckily is clean. It's five mode w/ mem, and the SOS spells SOO (won't stay so for long). The pill is the modding friendliest I have come across so far with a retaining ring for the driver. The beam is pencil tight, should throw well even with a XP-G I intend to put in. Trustfire flames fit well in, the XTAR 2600 is very tight.
Unfortunately I cannot really test this light because it's not getting real dark anymore this time of the year where I live. The big emitter in the sky is only entering moon-mode for some time around 01:00.
I have only one regret regarding this light: Why have I only ordered one?
I've also got it today. Nice body and quite good throw. Driver doesn't have memory and SOS is SOO as Huny74 said already. It is also looking good to be moded to XM-L or so.
Same regret as Huny74 - I should buy more for that price.
C8 5-mode for $12.59 (@tomtop). Not $11.x, but still a good deal I'd reckon.
