Reviewer's Score?? I give it a Four & 1/2 out of Five.

Pros: Well made, good looking, feels good in the hand, bright, last mode memory, a multitude of battery options: 32560, 26650 (with a sleeve), 18650 (with a sleeve), 3xAA in series, 3xAA in parallel (with a modded holder), 3x14500 or 4x14500 in parallel (with a modded holder), Alkaline D cell. It's possibly the most convertible light out there if one wants to do a few simple mods to it.

Cons: I just don't care for the raised button or the feel of it, that's all I can complain about.

Summary: I love this light. It's lightweight. It feels good in the hand, due to the great knurling. It has plenty of battery options. It has an XM-L2 led, a great reflector and an AR coated lens. It has three main modes and mode memory. Did I sat I love this light?

EDITED

Amp draws:

3xAA - H 1500mA, M 200mA, L 25mA

4XAA - H 1600mA, M 250mA, L 25mA

1x18650 - H 2400mA, M 250mA, L 25mA

I think High is Direct Drive, but then again, that doesn't sound right, since the 18650 was a 10amp Panasonic, so it should have gone higher than 2.4 amps.

Beam shots:

Mouse Over. Mouse Out is the 18650 and Mouse Over is the 4xAA

18650

Mouse Over. Mouse Out is the 18650 and Mouse Over is the 3xAA

18650a

Lux @ 1 meter:

18650 - 16200

4xAA - 12500

3xAA - 11600

I do not have a way to measure lumens, but I figured the Lux @ 1 meter would show something.

Thank you Wallbuys for sending me another great light!

I'm excited about the mod possibilities with this light.

The body ID is 34.6mm, so it will take several battery configurations, if you want to make some sleeves and mod some holders.

First of all, it comes with a 3AA holder. If you were to make sleeves, it would hold a 26650, an 18650 and the 32650 it will hold without a sleeve. Plus (I have not tried it yet), it states a D battery, so it will run at a reduced lumens rating on 1.5v

sd102

Here's a 4xAA holder, with 4 eneloops in it, so you can go 4xAA in series for a little brighter light. Also you could mod a 4AA holder into parallel and use 4x14500 in it.

sd103

This holder is not parallel yet, but it's just to show 4x14500 will go in the light.

This is the first light I have played with that would take all these different batteries in different configurations. Did I say I like this light?

1x32650

1x26650

1x18650

3xAA in Series

4xAA in Sereis

4XAA in Parallel

4X14500 in Parallel

1xD Alkaline (or maybe NiMH)

I will be making the sleeves and holders for this light and I will report it all in a mod thread.

Thanks for the review Old-Lumens. Enjoyed the video. Looks like a nice light as it is. Good luck tearing it apart. Looking forward to the mod thread.

Thanks to Wallbuys too. :)

Edited the OP with Amp draws, Beam shots and Lux readings.

I have to start looking at the price before letting myself get all excited and amped up about the possibility of getting a new light. I read and read and it just gets better and better… And then I scroll back up to the $57 price tag. :frowning:

Thanks for the review and pics though!

Thanks for the review. Looks like a good light. Its funny that this is the second light in this configuration with a dicky boot. Its the last time that I watch a video of yours with the wife in the room. She loves your deep sexy voice. :Sp
