Kandar fixed blade

Anyone here has this Kandar fixed blade from manafont? or heard of the company Kandar? i did a google search and found nothing about this company. If someone here has this knife, can u pls comment on the quality. I am looking for a budget fixed blade. i like this one coz the blade and handle are one piece.

I haven't heard of that brand name but the knife does look very cool to me. I don't have any fixed blade knives other than the ones in my kitchen so maybe I should add fixed blades to my collection.

That does look pretty cool, but I have to testify that this looks even cooler.

In general it's pretty hard to screw up a fixed blade though, and if you don't mind not looking cool you can get a whole set of steak knifes and whatnot and a block to go with it for <$20.

ya, i guess it's hard to screw up a fixed blade. i just don't want the edge to chip easily or something coz that's what happened to one of my cheap folder that i bought locally. well, anyway, i guess i will go ahead and order this. i will let u guys know when i get it.

hum..... steak knifes? na, i want it to look cool. i wanna scare the steak that i am cutting.

I like the look of that Kandar. And it looks like it will probably be legal for carry where I live... When I open a cardboard box, it will know I mean business!Cool

I also saw that MF has a Sanrenmu clone of the CRKT K.I.S.S. knife here for $6.35! I'll have that on my next order...

<edit> Sanrenmu=good???

that sanrenmu 711 is a funny looking knife. it is so.... what's the word...... naked.

This is the original K.I.S.S.:

Yes, very much so.

You could get 5 years in prison here for being in possession of that thing though. Such knives have been illegal here since the end of the first world war. Getting on for 100 years ago.

Our laws are much more relaxed. I could carry a concealed knife no issues (reasonably sized). But if i managed to annoy someone i could get into trouble very easily by the fact not by the knife itself. Still, in my country those who carry a knife for edc are less than 0,5% of total population.

Forbidding a smallish knife to carry seems a bit over the edge but in some countries may be appropriate (not pointing a finger to the UK). Handguns are very very forbidden. I like that. Would change my mind soon if where i live many would carry handguns illegally. These are still fortunately quite rare. It is however very easy to get one if need be. Even cheap. Only once i saw a real unregistered handgun and even that was carefully held in a safe. Also had the possibility to handle a real AK-47 made in Bosnia and a MP3-K which is standard for airport security personell. Not very fond on firearms but it was quite an experience.

I do not carry a knife on daily basis perhaps a few days in a year when i think i would need that tool. I just happen to like them. Also i have a tedious allergy for nickel so handling knives can by quite annoying and itchy. For me knives are more an aestehetic collectible thing than a tool i rarely need but comes handy from time to time.

I know a few that does collect blades of all sorts around and actually never carry or use them at all. Shelf/display queens all the time. MY knifes sit in a drawer and wait till i want to play with a bit. How weird is that? To each it's own i guess...
