I also have a V11R. It is my favorite nightstand light. With it’s super low I can move around the room at night without disturbing others.
I did not get the 14500 extender with mine, but I should have. One will be ordered soon.
when FT had the V11R in the beginning it had cost 40-50$ afaik

Love the V11r as it is my EDC in 16340 form. carry it with the clip inside pocket, I have really grown to like the single 16340 lights as they are so small. I have the AA extender with mine but find I prefer the shortened version.

i bought a pack of the sanyo xx eneloops which can be recharged up to a claimed 500 times…4 x 500…you do the math…they also carry a charge of 2500mAh which is good because i currently work an 11 hour night shift and i bike 7 miles one way when i leave work…i plan to buy another pack this week for my wifes camera…assuming the light is as reliable as the reviews seem to indicate i should be set for the next 10 years…
i do plan on buying the sog 214 within the month as well just to have something a little different…
