A new 2600mAh battery from Xtar, this time it is called 18650, instead of 18700. This does not mean it is 5 mm shorter, it is only about about 1 mm shorter.

This is very nice discharge curves with good tracking and full capacity at any current.

The current limit is just above 6A. Remember that it will be lower with continuous load.

Conclusion

It looks like a very good battery.

great battery review as always, thanks!

i don't like the xtar black battery wrapper. the material. it gets brittle after 1 year and chips after repeated insertions in flashlights. i prefer the transparent wrappers of generic protected cells. thicker and more wear-resistant. softer so to speak.

sure enough, after many many years, any plastic material becomes brittle, call it "aging" of materials.

Luckily it is easy and cheap to fix.

It is not all black wrappers that has problems, most of my batteries with black wrapper are intact, even if they are a couple of years old.
