Any recent issues with SolarForceFlashlight-Sales?

The company finally contacted me with a tracking number about three days after posting this. They say that they sent a shipping confirmation a week ago when they shipped the part, somehow it never reached me. I checked all my emails and spam folders, but it wasn't to be found. I'm inclined to believe them because they did good on previous shipments, and their tracking number shows that the package has left Hong Kong on it's way to me, that's no quick task with HKPost. Little upset that it took them so long to reply, but I have no idea what the work week is like over there, could have been a holiday weekend for all I know. Issue is resolved, and as long as the package arrives soon with all items ordered I'd have no problems ordering from them again.

Placed an order back in the middle of October. Received a tracking number the next day, and most of the order two weeks later. They attempted to reship the one item, but the tracking number never worked. I gave it two weeks before contacting them about the number. All I wanted was a working tracking number, but they were quick to issue a refund. I intend to return the refund if the bulb shows up, but three weeks later still no sign of it.

I want to assemble a few of these lights for friends and family. Given that my last experience had an overall positive outcome, even if it wasn't the one I wanted, and the good feedback of others I decided to order again. This time I placed an order for 5 L2n hosts, figured the recipients would like that style better, along with some other assorted parts I wanted. Order was placed on 11/14 with a total of just under $100, as of today, 11/22, I have yet to receive any notice from the company about this order. I sent a request for a status update on Wednesday, 11/20, via e-mail, and never heard back. I sent a request via their website on Thursday, and haven't heard back. I am just about ready to file a claim through PayPal and add them to my do-not-use list. Am I being irrational about this?

I think that a week is long enough to have the items shipped out if they were in stock. If not I should have at least been given some sort of notice that or why it is being delayed. I was planning to give as Christmas gifts (even if late) along with batteries and chargers, but are they even going to be shipped? If I ordered from elsewhere I might still get them in time.

What to do?

I just ordered from them recently for the first time: a Z1 and a Z2 - and they arrived from HK in just ONE week! I’ve never had service from China or HK that fast.

I was not aware SF was located in china, interesting.

ive ordered a half dozen packages from them over the last year, they ship pretty quick for overseas shipping… averaging about 2 weeks or so from time of order to time of delivery

Didn't expect anyone reply now. Actually all the parts arrived today. Two weeks from date of order and everything was present, don't think I could be much happier with the service. I just wish that shipping notification hadn't gotten lost, then I never would have made this post.

Really the only issue I've had ordering from them was one low voltage P60 module. Ordered it with a bunch of other stuff, when the package arrived everything was there except that P60. They reshipped, tracking number never worked, and two weeks later it still hadn't arrived. They quickly refunded the cost of that bulb, so no complaints. Still don't understand how that one part disappeared twice.

But good things to say about Solarforce I ve only ordered 3 xs from them one was was a L2N host promotional with a free stainless steel clip well I got the host in about 8 days and no clip so I emailed them tracking number and had clip in 6 more days I wish International outdoors was half this quick.i also just recently ordered a XML2-U2 5mode P60 drop in and it was carefully packed in its own threaded 2 piece protective case.

That in the 3 mode version was one of the two drop-ins in my first order. It's the one that did arrive. Nice, but I don't like the pill. It's a proprietary design that doesn't appear compatible with most reflectors available. Unfortunately I haven't been able to play around with it, as my dad kinda confiscated that light until I can get him one of his own. That's why I've been kinda antsy about these parts getting here as one of them will be his.

They sell those cases — 99c each or $17.99 for 10 and $33.98 for 20 so buy singles, Solarforce is often like this, they give an offer price on single items but forget the multiples.
The only advantage over old style film canisters is that you can see which drop-in is which.

Not meaning to sound like an addict, but why buy a storage case when I can just get another host for 10 bucks more?

Yeah, I'm not even remotely showing signs of flashaholism. The three functional L2 host's I have, 5 empty L2n hosts, 5 XTAR chargers, and 3 xm-l2 emitters on 20mm stars sitting within 5 feet of me prove nothing. Neither do the 14 18650s, parts to build 6 P60s, and 2 zoomies that I have on order. Actually when all said and done I'll be giving a lot of it away.

That reminds me I need to get an AVR Programmer, and clip. Also need to get back to studying the BLF-VLD and DrJones Luxdrv 0.3. I may not be a huge flashlight guy, but I am a bit of a computer geek. The idea of programming my own custom modes is very tempting.

That, right there man, you’re addicted. When you make an excuse that “hey, i’ve got some loose batteries. Better get a HOST to hold them safely!” <— sign of addict right there man.

4 or 5 orders at Solarforce and always ok.

Solarforce is one of the best retailers around.

I never wait more than 2 weeks to receive an order from Solarforce. By far the fastest shipping of any of the vendors I’ve ordered from in China.

Funny this is up right now. I was just searching before posting about my own woes with SFF-S.com. Placed an order for 4 lights, 3 quick disconnect mounting kits with switch. I only received two of the mounts, and one of the two is missing pieces.

I’ve contacted them and am hoping for a resolution. My experience with the chinese has not been good so far!

i just received an l2t 8 days after placing an order

My order came quickly, too. No complaints there whatsoever.

I just wish it would have contained everything I ordered.

Same with me, but was L2M  Love that place, NEVER get stuff that fast from China!

LICK FOR HIGH RES!

I licked it but nothing happened :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve ordered from them a handful of times and had always been amazed by their excellent quality/quality control,* UNTIL NOW.* (grey L2N)

I received my latest purchase from them today and was very disappointed. Fast shipping, excellent box, but the item has obvious anodizing issues on the head (look at the obvious bare spot) and physical dings on the body lower edge. This doesn’t seem to be the norm for them, but maybe it is their new normal?
