Here’s a tritium lamp I came up with using Ultem 1000.
An introduction of Ultem 1000. Ultem is an amber transparent high performance polymer which combines high strength and rigidity at elevated temperatures with long term heat resistance. Ultem offers excellent dimensional stability combined with broad chemical resistance and is also inherently flame resistant and low smoke generating.
The lamp contains 4 3x22.5mm vials. It is bright enough for map reading at night (refer to picture below) and flat for easy storage with a hole for lanyard or key chain (6mm x 35mm x 20mm). The vials are completely sealed and covered with araldite 2020 clear epoxy.
Please note that there are slight imperfections and the material is matte as shown in the picture as these are hand sanded as much as possible. I can send a high resolution image if required. Each one is $76 excluding shipping.
