Hi guys i need to get some decent wire for building high power flashlights, but not sure really what to go for. i've seen some on ebay can you tell me if its what i'm after ?
Any other suggestions would be appreciated but i must be able to get it here in the UK.

I would suggest using a thicker guage of wire, that really is very thin stuff.
I'd go with something around 20swg (0.9mm), it should be fine upto about 10A. That's almost certainly overkill but it's a generally usuable size for fiddley wireing.
I mostly use silicone wire, which I buy here - http://www.giantcod.co.uk/silicone-wire-c-39_256.html. The wire is very cheap there, but the postage is about £2.50 so it may not be the best option as you probably don't want anything else they sell :)
