Seems pretty good for its price, 24.99 usd. Anybody here has one?

No but I will soon .

I saw those at IS a few days ago and wondered why I hadnā€™t heard about them. Looks very nice especially for the price! I look forward to a review.

IS is to be praised for AGAIN sending me an order with Lightning Speed.
Ordered the Starry Night on Friday, got it on Monday  WOW

Illumination Supply will be getting more business from me.

Starry Night SA-22 first impressions:
ā€”nice medium stiff switch. Its rectangular and could be a bit bigger, but
seems quite adequate.
-Nice floody beam.
-Compared side-by-side with my Cyclone C88 ( with 26650 flame),
The Starry Night beam is just a hair wider spill.
Rated lumens of 880 seem relatively realisticā€”brightness is comparable to the Cyclone.
Starry Night beam is much cooler than the warm of the Cyclone, but appears just a hair cooler than neutral to my untrained eye.
( I am nowhere near experienced enough to guess at the Tint and binning )

Beam is very nice IMHOā€”
wide hotspot, no distinct edges, fades into a brighter corona, with lots of useable spill. Spill is just a bit wider than the Cyclones, and a tad narrower than my TMart HD 2010ā€™s.

User Manual was a folded single page xerox copy lol

Holster it came with is nice and fits well.
Battery installation instructions/polarity diagrams were backwards.

Still examining the build qualityā€”but I am quite happy with beam quality.

I wonder when Chinese sellers will start to sell this for 25$ or less, so far I havent seen anyone having this, beside IS, but thats in USA so its out of budget-reach for BLFā€™ers.

My SA-22 came disassembled. I had to finish putting it together. The Bezel was not tight and had pinched the o-ring under the glass damaging it. The driver/head retaining ring wasn't tight. It stays a little loose to allow the driver/head to spin but had to be tightened with a very thin and long screwdriver. If it comes fully assembled, I believe it to be a nice light.

Can you do a little review? Output? Tint, quality? Mode memory?

Not likely, I have a wee one due next week! I received it two weeks ago and this is the first time I opened it up!

Sorry

Looks very similar to my just purchased Fenix LD 41. Anyone have any idea how it stacks up?

For 25$ and with some coupons, I would like to buy one for 19$ shipped worldwide just to see how good it is for the price, even if I have to put it together myself :D!

Go to Alibaba, and ask for 5-10 pieces...$15 a pop, without shipping.shipping can be pricey.

I saw it there, I went on to ask them when its going to be available and some more details about this light, they said that theres already review in progress by one reviewer, so lets hope we see review soon and these lights on sale from usual suspects even sooner :D!

I have them both. The Starry light stacks up well. It is sleeker and more compact. Beamwise they are similar. On my samples, the Starrylight is slightly cooler, and the hotspot is slightly more concentrated.

Clicky at the tail? Memory or no memory?

Yes. Reverse tail clicky with last mode memory.

Is there a turbo or can you keep it at max brightness till the batteries are dead?

Does the plastic seem to be thick and durable?

What kind of battery life on high?

Well, I havenā€™t had too much of a chance to put it through the paces yet, but itā€™s not listed as a turbo mode. Iā€™ve only had it on high for a minute or two at a time so far, and havent noticed any step down in that short period of time. Iā€™ll try to let it run for awhile here tonight. The plastic seems very durable and weā€™ll made. For the money, this one is a winner. My only complaint is the noticeable pwm on the lower modes, but I like high mode anyway! Itā€™s not that itā€™s unusable, but if pwm is something that bugs you, and you plan on using the low mode alot, you may want to look elsewhere. If you can live with that, this is undoubtedly one of the best budget lights ever!

Ha ha! Glad someone else noticed this! I thought I was going nuts! I couldā€™ve done without that sinking feeling that for an instant I thought my new light was DOA! Alas all was well.

Iā€™m curious as to the specs- 880 lumen high with no stepdown, and a low of 150 lumens? It does sound like a great deal, but I think Iā€™d still prefer the Jetbeam PA40 - a low of 50 lumens and a 2 lumen moonlight, plus a carbon-fiber body. Iā€™m still looking for a good all-around camping light, and I think a ā€œslimā€ 4xAA would be just about perfect - pocketable, quite bright when you need it, especially with a diffuser. But Iā€™d really want a moonlight mode for using inside a tent and such. A low of 150 lumens is just too much.
