Are these 18650's better than these 18650's for the use I need ?

hi there,…

i have a Zebralight sc600mkii L2, and I bought some ’keeppower 2600mAh batteries. ( http://illuminationsupply.com/batteries-c-48_50/18650-keeppower-2600mah-samsung-icr1865026f-protected-button-top-p-833.html#.UrqwcvRdW8A )

as I mostly will be using it on Highest and strobe, were these a good choice, good enough?, as I also have seen some sanyo ones which perform just that bit better according to HKJ’s battery compartor if im right.

some more few questions;

is there much a notice performance difference really?.
should I get those next time? - would the even fit being flat top 64mm?.

not sure if these sanyo are protected cells too . ^
keeppower better?

kind thanks, happy holidays!…

Those sanyos are not protected. sanyo-ur18650fm-2600
It is better to stay with protected if the fit. Brands like keeppower is are good since they uses quality seiko protection.

I’m not seeing a HKJ test for Samsung ICR18650-26F. If your looking at the graph for “Keeppower 18650 2600mAh (Black)” thats a sanyo not the samsung.

Whats the current on high for sc600mkii L2?

HKJ’s battery comparator is great to narrow down which batteries are better. The whole test/review for each battery has discharge (runtime) graphs for different amps. Check out the line for however many amps a sc600mkii L2 does on high and you’ll see the extra runtime you might get for a different battery.

zebrastripes, you’ll never get those batteries if you’ve bought them outside of england because we have new freight laws, and using unprotected, unsafe chemistry cells in ZLs isn’t a good thing, they seem to fry them, this
eagaltac 3400
works just fine and it also fits the ZLSC600 MKII just fine unlike some 18650s.

Aren’t chinese sites like wallbuys still getting li-ions through to the UK?

Those eagletac are rather costly, can the SC600 MKII only fit 68mm max? You could save a lot with KeepPower 3400 if they fit. Less than half the price & still has great seiko protection.

Disclosure: I’m not fond of needlessly overpriced batteries at all.
