need help picking out a zoomie

my daughter lost my EDC. it was a tank 007 pa02. i was ready to replace it with a zoomie anyways. i have a sk68, and an sk98 on the way. i dont really see me wanting to carry them every day. anybody got anything they’d recommend? i have a budget of 15$ and as far as batteries go i would like either 14500/or aa or a single 18650 and a clip would be nice. this will be used around the house out in the yard occasionally soully for a spotbeam in the woods
and it doesn’t have to be 15$ it can always be cheaper. lol

Hi zach8935. I don't know anything about this one, but seems like a good deal.

Torch Light C78 Flood-to-Throw Zooming Cree Q3-WC 130-Lumen, No clip
$9.50
C78

Stick to the sk68, it is just the best zoomie under $15 (way under :-) ) . The C78 is also a proven nice zoomie.

thanks guys i’ve been carrying a sk68 for a week and it’s not quit big enough in length. i have a sk98 on the way i just don’t see it being an EDC so anybody got one thats not a zoomie that’d meet the same profile. needs to light up to about 80 to 100 feet prefer aa/14500 or aaa

Small Sun ZY-C10-S, ive had a few and theyre great for sub $15.

No clip though

I asked a similar question back when I was looking for a host.

This is my thread: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/22639

The UF-T20 seems like the best and is like $22 shipped.

I know, it is over your budget by $6.80, but probably worth it to get an XM-L led over the XP-Gs in terms of lumens.
http://flashlightwiki.com/Cree Emitter to max lumen charts.

It has a XL-L emitter, not sure on current draw.
I didn't end up buying a zoomie though.

I Read about the percentage if brightness between the Domed LED and the Aspherical lens and supposedly the light looses about 40% of brightness after passing though both curved lens.

I went with a C8 and think it blows my old XM-L T6 zoomie away. But if I ever do buy another zoomie it'd be the UF-T20.
