"Hey, y'all!" from Atlanta, USA

Long time lurker, first time posting.

I’m a native New Yorker who moved to my wife’s hometown of Atlanta five years ago. I have a lifetime love of Flashlights, knives, and gadgets; I post to blade and EDC forums, too.

My background is in professional music (vocals, guitar), internet publishing, Criminal Investigation, and graphics & illustration.

True to this site’s title, I look for budget lights, whether that be a good deal on eBay, a well-reviewed Chinese special, or a yard sale gem.

I still remember when it was called Hotlanta! This forum has a plethora of budget light info and knowledgeable people. Enjoy your stay! I find yard sale gems hard to score around my area. If you have scored some, we would love to hear & see about it!

Enjoy your stay.

Glad you’re posting here, you’ll enjoy it much more than lurking! I’m a pro bass player / drummer with a weakness for flashlights, in Tulsa, OK.

Welcome Daddeek ! It's good for us to have a fresh mind to corrupt!! Tongue Out

Welcome Daddeek!

And Happy New Year Everyone!

You are lucky that you have close to you a store most of us would love to visit .....Check out Goinggear in atlanta .. Go walk in and play with some of the best lights on the planet :)

Welcome to BLF

Foursevens HQ is also there. They claim to have a open door policy. Atleast thats what I read on their website.

Welcome to BLF, Daddeek!

Howdy and welcome aboard.

Welcome to BLF, hold on to your wallet. It will be empty in no time, if you hang around here long.

Boaz, I have been to the Goinggeqr store. And it is good (cue choir and harps). The prices are good (not the best) but the Wall o’ Lights more than makes up for that. I doubt there are many places in this world where a person can test drive that many flashlights.

There are also some excellent military surplus and LE tactical stores around. Having lived in MA for 20 years (and the tri-state area for 20 before that), it is fun to be in a state where I can get easily find so many toys.
