Following my package across the Pacific

Bought a headlight assembly on ebay for my MK2 last week. It looks like I'll be receiving it sometime this afternoon. It's interesting to see how many stops it makes before it gets to me.

Shipment information sent to FedEx

Wouldn't it be great if we could just send our own little cargo drone over and have the seller load it and it would come back home?

That’s like 6 months from now.

Yup - that would be nice.

That sounds like something Amazon is working on right now.

When I check the tracking, about a third of the things sent by post come from East Asia to California by way of New York. What should one expect with two governments involved? FedEx is private, so it only went a couple of thousand miles out of the way.
