So, i won this light in Ric’s giveaway Loading...
Where do i get proper 14250 rechargeables?
I guess i’m gonna need a cottonpickers charges also :~

It’s a pity these cells aren’t listed separately so you can get them from Ric. Seems this size is most popular in lithium primary and Ni-MH form.

Afaik, Ric doesn’t even sell them seperately…
So basicly im stuck on nimh’s :S

IMO, its a pretty useless light. Maybe you could ask Ric if you could swap it for this since its a few dollars less. It doesnt hurt to ask.

I think one should be included, anyway, if won’t be able to use the light as is, i’ll strip it for parts :slight_smile:

You should have asked ric if you could buy a couple of extra batteries from him. I won the dqg spy ti 10180 in the giveaway, and asked him if i could buy extra batteries for it, so i paid $2 for an extra battery (or $4 for 2 extras)

Oh yea, fantastictech, can’t ship batteries to my country, even now, when it is possible again, and i’m not paying for dhl either. Anyway, i don’t have a charger for 3.6V lithiums yet, got other stuff to buy first :slight_smile:

One of these is on its way to me. I thought the tiny form factor was interesting, but similarly am having difficulty finding extra batteries. Guess ill check with ric as well. Thanks.

This light normally comes with one battery and some kind of dummy cell to charge the battery in conventional chargers. When he introduced these lights he mentioned that he was willing to ship extra batteries for a pretty low price (if I remember correctly).
I would like to hear how this light (and the 1/2 AA) performs in terms of output and runtime since I was thinking about getting one myself.

The 1/2 AA looks interesting too. I wonder if it would work with other types of batteries (3.7V li-ion), and if it’s possible to remove the tiny gap at the tailcap screw.

At 1.2v is it really lithium? N size NiMH is close but perhaps too long …

Well not really, they’re 3,6V lithium, ebay is full of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-ER14250-LS14250-ER3S-1-2AA-ER3-ER3S-ER4-LS14250C-LS3-T04-41-Lithium-BATTERY-/231122195467 but i guess i’ll see which battery comes with the light. Sure can’t expect 1200mah in a such small form :slight_smile:
