Yep, cool little lights.  I've got a stash bag in the closet of sipik68's.

Gave two away at work while back.

I ALWAYS pick one up when they are available for 2-3 bucks.  Can't lose.

People love em.

BUT NOW !  When's the last time you ordered from FastTech?   From all I've read here they've gone down the toilet.   Slow... Slow... and Slower.

I haven't ordered from them in months as I didn't wanna wait like all the people here were bitching about.  First batteries, then knives , then various shipping methods.  blah blah blah..yadda yadda.

USPS HK packages shipped from FT mostly arrived in my box within the estimated 8 days. A few outliers at 9-16 days; these hit holidays. They've been fast enough to spoil me as very few china orders from other shops get to me within 20 days.

Nothing beats amazon prime in consistency/price/speed/customer service.

agree 100%. They are king. Jeff Bezos sees things differently than most. Their customer service is 2nd to none, in my opinion. The few times I have had an issue on an order they do all they can to correct it, even offering credit.

this from Customer Service:

According to the recent feedbacks from the $1 flashlight customers, they received the package around 25-30days (average). Some may even take a 3-5 days longer.
For super saver shipping from China, this is an average shipping speed around 30 days, especially at the end of the year, packages and shipments are times increased compared to usual time.

(it’s only been 26 days so far for me, got a ways to go)

Very nice clone
Ordered only two, because at that price was feeling a little like a thief to buy more
It has nothing written on it, black ops light.
The pill is hollow, Next mode memory was fixed with the pencil streak across the capacitor
Relatively bright (compared to other lights that i had of that model)
good buy

My last order was placed on Jan 15th.  It still isn't here.  I was hoping for a taste of the good old days so I could bring it on my last camping trip, but FT failed me.

The low mode should be lower.

I received mine!
The zooming part was dry, I didn’t took it appart but I think there is no O ring to smooth that.
But the tailcap thread was greased.

Received my 2 lights today. The beam in foold mode is on the wider side. One has metal zooming ring and horrible feeling when zooming. Other has the lens scratched on the inner side, zooms a bit past the perfect focus and have problems zooming if the pill fully tightened, I needed to unscrew it a bit (about 1/6 turn) to make it zoom smoothly. Overall an average SK68 clone – not bad, but not better than any others either.

Mine only took about 4 weeks (which 4 days to 4 months really doesnt matter to me long as I get what I paid for or a refund), Im happy for such a quality $2 box. Opened immediately after receiving from mailbox, tossed the light in the trash and put the awesome box in my trophy cabinet! Cant wait for the next deal! Thanks OP.

Got one of mine. Still one to go. Lens has scratches, horrible ringy beam, zoom is really loose and zooms past focus. All in all for 2$ it is a pretty good deal. Gonna gift these for nonflashaholics.

WOW. This clone really shines when I swapped with a red XP-E! A small package that runs on my eneloop AA, which I can easily velcro it to my bike. I do not have to buy another 14500, solely for this flash!

Mine came in a plain box though & no branding on light!
My other SK68 clone has two o-rings, one by the front and the other by the tail cap.
O-ring by the front is “missing” on this one.
All in all, it is still a pretty good deal

Mine arrived today in a wite plain box. Not,a bad clone. No sharp edges, smooth threads, brighter than my other clones, and the best clip I’ve seen. On the other hand, the tint is cooler than other samples I have, the beam is a bit narrower in flood mode, and the throw is a bit de-focused.
I’ll be happy just replacing the driver in a non hollow pill with a warmer emitter

Mooooooo

Mine arrived as well, disappointing that I didn’t get the super fancy box. Silly

Mine is more neutral with a hint of green unfortunately, not brighter than my other sk68’s, and next mode memory (presumably fixable with a quick line of pencil lead).

Everything else is great though. I too have one with a nice clip, comparing it to my others it’s a purty matte black with smooth/rounded edges instead of the flat cheap metal feeling ones. 3 modes or 5 if you count the zoom in/out Silly . Tailcap clicky doesn’t stick out too far to tailstand, and the lens doesn’t stick out too far to headstand. O-ring instead of the steel wire that some come with for the zoom friction so it’s smooth zooming instead of the obnoxious grinding.

Emitter is a bit of a letdown, but it’s $2.

came today. Very happy with mine. As nice as any Sipik clone I have purchased, cosmetically anyway. Question for the electronic gurus: I put a Trustfire Flame, 900mA, in it and did an amp reading on high. Came out .75 Put that same cell in another Sipik clone I have, but one mode only, and took a reading. Came out 1.35 What do those results say? Don’t like waiting 30 days for arrival but happy with this light, especially at that price. Would buy 20 if I could, gift em.

I also received the Kinfire 3-mode version today. .75-.8A on high, readings are pretty close to my XPG2-modded HWA/WYS Ultrafire on a couple different cells I grabbed. At a quick glance it looks like an XPE2 daylight with no real tint leanings toward blue or green. Appears easily brighter than than the XPG2 using the same cells (die image is noticeably smaller, as expected). I wish I had an IMR 14500 to see if either would draw higher current but since the flame has drawn higher in other lights I suspect this is the driver limit at whatever voltage these cells were at.

[EDIT: The XPG2 kills the XPE2 for general use with a fully charged TF flame. Current draw jumped to 1.45A before heat sinking with 4.2v TF flame. The Kinfire did not draw any more after both cells were charged. Outside the surface brightness is much closer with a slight edge to the XPE2 but with so many more lumens from the XPG2 the modded Ultrafire kills the stock XPE2 emitter in almost every useful throw situation of any moderate distance. A driver change would bring potentially substantial improvement in throw, with a loss of run time and AA compatibility.]

Quality appearance is the best of the half dozen different SK68 samples I’ve seen, each from a different vendor. You guys aren’t kidding about the box – easily the best quality box I’ve gotten from overseas with a cheap light – not crushed and barely dented; the envelope also was slightly better than the typical bubble mailer. Anybody seeing these at this price again please PM me so I don’t miss out!

For those concerned about rings, try putting some black electric tape on the silver surfaces under the lens to see the impact. In normal use I’m not usually distracted by them and don’t mess with it since I mostly give them away.

Still have not received my faucet light that I ordered a week or so earlier …

Hi Patrick,

Your flashlight looks exactly as mine.

I did not use thermal paste as it is an empty pill design. Note, the plastic retaining ring is a pain in the ass to remove.

Flashlight remains relatively cool(+5 degree room temp) after 5mins. High ~1.2A, Lo~0.5A with Ni-Mh.
